Game works out of the box. Performance issues resolved with gamemoderun installed and used
MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun %command%
Performance issues without gamemoderun. Otherwise great experience.

minor crackling in the menu
12 fps while swinging around 20 fps when looking at the ground. i am aware that i have low spec, but this does not happen in windows. i get 40-50 fps on the same graphic setting.
i have tried proton experimental, proton ge 9-25, 9-23, wine-ge83

some
~10 fps while swinging around and ~18 fps when looking at the ground. I am aware i have low spec, but this does not happen in windows. I get about 40-50 at the same setting

need FSR to run properly
sometimes afercertain missions, you cant move
overall fine experience, bad battery life, FSR recommended

audio is out of sync during some cutscenes
cutscenes are incredibly choppy

Used ProtonGE and had no issues, except for some minor hiuccups in some cutscenes weirdly enough.
My steam controller works for like 2 minutres then it starts to glitch out :( Probably an issue with the controller though, cant say for sure
sometimes slowdowns, dunno if its simply related to FSR or some other frame gen stuff

Install dependencies from downloaded files using protontricks (quacked)
Turn off controller, only steam deck input should be enabled
FPS drops in cut scenes
Sometimes the game gets stuck in one condition and doesnt continue the mission
Disappearing environment

The game runs at around 45 FPS, but I suggest locking it at 30 FPS for better visual quality. To hit 45 FPS, you’d need to disable everything, including shadows, which makes the game look REALLY bad. I recommend locking it at 30 FPS with FSR3 enabled, medium textures, 4x AA, low shadows, and the rest set to low or off. Don’t forget to adjust sharpness to a level you find most comfortable.

gamemoderun %command% -nolauncher
Game crushed once, during end credits
Works perfectly on linux, sadly this ports itself is in very bad shape

very low graphics settings
Stuttered and cause my steam deck to get too hot to hold comfortably in the opening cutscene

Fonctionne parfaitement
Les jeu fonctionne très bien. Il est agréable de voir que la dualsens est prise en charge avec les gachettes adaptative et le mouvement gyroscopique.

gamemoderun %command%
Runs just fine out of the box.
gamemoderun %command% and GE Proton are my standards for running most games, so I consider them out of the box.

Most people will enjoy it, but as linux gamers we can notice a few more things. It runs OK.
Very little or light audio sync issues, only happened once
Dropping to 40 frames in some parts of the city and infrequent frame stutters
TLDR: runs OK most of the time 60-80ish frame high preset with some 40ish low frames only happened once in 1 hour of play. I think wait for 1 or 2 patches and it will be a great experience.
With my 34" 1440p ultrawide setup, I set it to high instead very high preset graphics. Maxed out FOV and turned off Motion blur. Set graphics to high details, the game was launched in an okay state. Pretty surprised how OK it was. I am happy the Nixxes has done some better work here. I wanted to support Sony making good games but only if PSN was optional, not mandatory , I think its worth $60 on ps5 and should $50 in its current state, if it performed better I would say its worth $60. I got mostly 60ish to 80ish frames in most spots and in the opening act. But had some lows of 40 ish frames. I think it would be a good experience for most people and with a Dualsense controller it can be a bit more fun.

Occaisional audio crackling, sometimes extended and miss what characters are saying. Happens more often in cutscenes.
Sometimes textures on Kraven's helicopters appear black and take several seconds to load camo texture. Building windows, outlines, and other sharp angles sometimes flicker.
PS5 controller initially would only let me move cursor in menu. I had to enable Steam input for buttons to work. I haven't noticed adaptive trigger feature, I'm not sure if I just haven't encountered it or it isn't working.
Regular drops in FPS, random glitches and lagginess
So far just one crash at the start of a battle.
The game runs perfectly, at a good framerate out of the box, add some Frame Gen to make that even better !
gamemoderun %command% -nolauncher

As long as the vulkan driver is defined properly in the launch options, anyone should be able to play it really well.
vk_radv %command%
game would have insane issues running, 5 fps in the menu and constant crashes, this was fixed by defining the vulkan driver to use. amd's official driver (vulkan-amdgpu-pro) ran poorly, but radv ran just fine.
in order to define the vulkan driver first install amd-vulkan-prefixes
and then add the desired driver prefix to the launch options (vk_radv
for radv, and vk_pro
for amd's drivers)
Slight crackling at the intial menu, didn't notice while playing the game

The game runs and looks good with some audio crackling occasinally though it seems PS5 controller support needs some work.
Not sure if this is the games fault or an issue on protons end.
During the prowler sections my PS5 controller would disconnect after pressing the triggers for a while.
At the time of writing the game regularly crashes which forces me to restart the Steam Deck.

it depends if they are bothered by frame drops, i have fps locked at 45 fps, low quality, frame gen,fsr 3.1 on
Frame drops from 45 fps to 25 fps but happened more often in cut scenes

ENABLE_VKBASALT=1 gamemoderun %command%
Game had heavy stuttering, before turning off any upscaling & framegen as well as switching to Exclusive Fullscreen. Still has some minor bugs, but they affect Windows as-well.
Runs at 40-50 fps usually on lowest settings with fsr3 frame gen enabled, isn't unplayable but this makes quick time events and parrying timing significantly harder than it normally is.

Runs out of the box, will frequently crash if RTX is enabled, so if you want to do a full playthrough just disable rtx until a patch drops.
MANGOHUD=1 %command%
Crashes frequently with RTX Enabled

Runs almost perfectly out of the box.
Rare minor texture glitch (specailly around water and highly reflective textures) and some texture loading slowly.
Slight fps drop at first but after enabling FSR Frame Generation there was no more issues. Some very rare freeze between cutscene and comming back to the game.
According to the recent reviews on steam (release day), the game seems to generally suffer from performance issues on Windows. Luckily, I haven't had any major problems. In general the game runs very well, with good performances. I use the "high" preset and get a somewhat stable 120fps. There is a few textures issues but nothing too noticable and might not be due to Proton.
Works out of the box, judging by the reviews on the Steam Store page, it might even work better on Linux than it does on Windows.

Ive got it to work so far with Proton Hotfix it seems to run fine now, as before something must've been messed up
I was a little hasty on my last post, but I was mad at a lot of things a some were not the games fault as I can't edit my last post I'm just going to post again
Runs smooth

Took proton hotfix to get past opening cutscene otherwise its instantly crashes even without ray tracing at somepoint I just can't play it crashes at the same point every time so far

It's felt basically seamless so far. 45FPS with slight drops in intense scenes on my OLED.
Limited FR through the QAM to 45, turned on FSRFG, lowered settings, locked GPU clock.
Audio popped in and out during the "catch me up" pre-game, wasn't an issue in gameplay.
Some textures of in-universe art (such as small adverts) were distractingly low quality.
Right as I was stopping playing, having cleared the tutorial boss fight and first couple of missions, I went to save and the game got very slow, like 1-3 SPF (yes I typed that out correctly). Not sure if that is going to be a memleak issue going forward.

140/160 stable FPS, no issues.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%

Extreme stuttering in menus and intro cutscene
Give time for patches to drop, I guess

Runs like ass at the start but quickly improves to holding 30FPS most of the time
I don't see any problems with it. Looking forward to see community settings

I had one crash, prompting me to switch to Proton Experimental. This has since fixed all crashing for me.
Performance can be iffy and varies wildly based on hardware. Two computers with almost identical hardware can have very different experiences with this game on Windows, I'd imagine it's the same on Linux.
Installed and ran just like any other game. FSR supported and works just fine.
All low settings, far 3.1 to dynamic scale set to 60 and frame gen then lock the refresh rate to 50 and force 1500 MHz GPU clock

Works perfectly under Proton Experimental.
