Sometimes upon restart the game seems to stutter or run at a lower framerate. Changing frame limit to 59 and then back to 60 quickly solved it for me. Otherwise great out of the box experience.
Perfect on Deck and for journeys. I put over 100h into this and it's not getting old.
changed display to 40hz to save some battery, but not required
Rare occasions of audio crackling after wake up from standby.
Works on mostly high settings with stable 30fps, not worth it to reduce graphics so far to reach 40fps. Game looks really beautiful and is a lot of fun. Big advantage to have 4 extra buttons and great controller customization support.
Works awesomely with low settings (still looking great), mostly steady 40fps thanks to FSR 2.0
Putting the DPad on back buttons helps a lot when switching weapons or turning on flashlight.
Cutscenes are a bit stuttery, but easy to ignore
mid to high settings and capped at stable 40hz (except cutscenes)
Reduced Threads from 8 to 4 via PowerTools (decky-loader) to reduce slowdowns over time.
display capped at 40hz
Controller Layout is slightly off the edges, but still readable. You get a warning at the start of the game because the 800p resolution is not officially supportet. Doesn't impact user experience really though.
Every other hour the game will have serious slowdowns and stutters. Following a Reddit recommendation I reduced the Threads to 4 via PowerTools which helped delay the effect, but it happens no matter the graphics settings (40hz work great with almost everything maxed out). Game is still beautiful and playable, just requires restarting every few hours.
Runs at high settings at a stable 40 fps, very enjoyable.
This game is unfortunately poorly optimized. Worth playing on a Gaming PC or Laptop, but on Steam Deck it's just not fun (for now at least)
Unfortunately can't run this at steady 30fps, even with FSR 2.0 Community Patch installed and running in balanced. Played it on a Gaming Laptop instead, great game!
Framerate drops below 30fps in the F.E.A.S.T. shelter. It's not a big deal since you're just walking around as Peter Parker, talking to people (no Spider-Man action here).
Looks significantly better at 30fps following the Deck HD guide, not worth using FSR and lower settings to achieve 40fps in my opinion.
Can run at 55-60 FPS with all settings to low or at a stable 40 FPS with medium to high settings. Pick your poison.
The handwritten notes are sometimes impossible to read on 800p, but you can easily read them when pressing A and showing them in larger and an easier font.
Using the low graphics preset with AMD FSR 3 Quality and FSR 3 Frame Generation it's actually a nice experience now. When limiting the FPS to 30 in the game settings, I get the most fluent experience at 40-55 FPS. Do not limit the display refresh rate in the steam performance settings below 60 Hz as it causes significant input lag in combination with Frame Generation. Battery will last you about 90m.
Textures load significantly later during the intro sequence of the races, but that's present even on high end gaming rigs and poor programming. Has a certain trash-factor to it and can be fun if you set your expectations respectively.
Game runs often below 30fps which makes it unplayable for what it wants to be, even at lowest possible settings. Very poorly optimized...
It's a great, trash version of Flatout 2 though and very enjoyable. Played it via Geforce Now instead.
No graphics settings in the game. Shows obout 50% GPU and 30% CPU load at 800p 60fps, so there's plenty headroom for battery optimization.
