Game worked completely fine for nearly a year. Keep getting "EAC Hash Catalogue not found"
Also did not work using Proton GE and Experimental. Tried deleting the prefix and reinstalling Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime. Would not get past the intro load screen.
Played 2 hours. No connectivity drops or issues.
Surprisingly poor quality port. Proton also did not work.
Game constantly crashes upon entering a map.
I was able to play on day 1 after fixing the sound bug with infrequent crashes. Every update since hasn't done much good or has introduced other weird issues. Big shame cause the few games I was able to actually play on Linux were decent. Have since had to dual boot Windows in order to play it unfortunately.
Proton-6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Proton 6.21-GE-2
Windowed Borderless locked the mouse and would not allow Alt-Tab to work correctly. Fullscreen worked fine.
The CDPR launcher prevented the game from launching, was able to fix using: --launcher-skip in the Steam launch options.
Was able to run it smoother than I did on Windows.
EAC is the biggest limiting factor to launching and playing online, hopefully future updates will add proper support.
Game would not run on any version of Proton other than Proton-7.2-GE-2, tried other Proton versions and Proton Experimental Bleeding Edge Beta and it still did not work.
Currently cannot play the game online due to EAC
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Every proton version would not allow the game to launch except GE 7-27 and GE 7-2
The most recent update resulted in EAC no longer working, making the game only playable offline as it was on release.
Ran good OOTB.
Was able to play the game using MSAA at 8x without fps drops or crashing. Also tried the DLC maps and did not notice any problems. Had a minor issue with the Xbox login window turning black when putting in my details. Overall gameplay felt almost indistinguishable from Windows.
This game is fine in the offline mode, but in order to do co-op or pvp, it's definitely necessary to have online functionality.
EAC causes the game to disconnect after 15 to 30 seconds of entering a multiplayer mode.
This game has potential to work completely as intended if someone can figure out a workaround for the online portion of EAC, judging by the fact that you can connect to lobbies and I was able to play at least two games without being EAC disconnected, I'm hoping it'll be possible in future.
Mostly smooth with minor hiccups.
FPS can be inconsistent upon fast traveling and entering/exiting dungeons.
Voice chat does not work
Achievements do not register until the next time the game is launched, some notifications do not appear.
Crashes every 2nd-3rd game.
This game appears to have lots of issues regardless of OS. In my case, I couldn't even get past the start screen on Windows so it was surprising to be able to play on Linux. Performance wise I had very smooth framerate without any stuttering or major drops.
There is a known DirectX bug with Warframe that can occur for some setups resulting in a memory leak which can completely freeze your machine after some playtime or when attempting to alt tab while the game is open. In my case it happened when opening a new browser tab on my second monitor which froze my machine on multiple occasions. I usually prefer DX11 due to the age of my GPU but switching to DX12 in the Warframe launcher fixed the memory leaks and performance issues completely.
