i didn't use any launch option because when i use some i found online i get crackling audio

DLSS (and rtx)is suported if you have an up to date driver and are using protton experimental. and it's freaking awesome.
wine eac is still heavely in developement and ubisoft may ban you for no reason (see erogame article)
fsync and esync don't work with eac
wine-eac a custom buid of wine for eac games still heavely in developement may break if game server update eac
wine eac is not ready for primetime so a lot of debug options are enable and there is no esync support so lot of lag still did 60fps with a1050 on low settings
sometime crash when the main menu is loaded
don't bother wine-eac devs they get too many request and will just ban you if you have question try the lutris discord

Not being able to use nvidia hairwork is really sad
the incompatibility popup on startup doesn't close itself up but after that every thing is fine
you can fix the crash by creating the file steamfolder/compatdata/218620/dxvk.conf containing [payday2_win32_release.exe]

You need to create a nebula account and link it to your steam account otherwise the login menu in game is pretty buggy for non standard emails
It's fun but the crashes are really annoying
it just works with the latest steam battle eye run time & proton experimental, my guess is that the crashes comes from that
the launcher in completely white, use proton GE-20 to get it working and enable the "remember me" button THEN switch to proton experimental and then click on the window were the play button should be
Warning to play in the most optimal manner with friend the server should be hosted on windows to avoid crashes a vm works fine for that

I INSIST proton 5.0-10 is perfect don't use anything else that would be taking risk of having a broken game
if you can get it running then it's lots of fun (just host your server on a windows vm for stability)

the game start with a black screen, just wait for 10 - 20sec and then click on it and the main menu will apear. (probably a mf related bug)
