I believe it did not work at first, and was stuck when booting the game, until I used Glorious Eggroll. The game's fun and ran I believe, nearly perfectly, once GE was used.
Please help, DX11 not working
Hello, things used to work perfectly in the past, but now I can't get the FFXIV luncher to put the DX11 settings "On". I'm able to lunch the luncher, log in, try to start endwalker, but it only gives me the DX9 game version, which crashes immediately upon starting (tiny black screen instantly crashing as soon as it appears, together with the luncher shortly after). I tried installing the latest DXVK release inside the game's protonfix folder just in case, did not fix. Tried multiple versions of proton and GE, a few weren't able to load the luncher but none were able to consider DX11 as functionning. But I was able to play the game perfectly with DX11 in the past, by that I mean two months ago and some more time ago. I am very frustrated please help me make Endwalker work.
Gold. The game works well, just the ending cinematic of the story mode doesn't play, and is required for some characters.
Could not change my input keys with the menu function(used a keyboard)
The cinematic at the end of the story mode does not play and freezes the game, giving only a forcequit as an option. And playing this mode two times is required to unlock all the characters. Would appreciate a more experienced Linux user to find a tweak to solve this cinematic issue.
If someone finds a tweak or something to solve this cinematic issue(at the end of the short story mode, took me 1h to complete), that would make the game go from gold to platinum easily. Since not being able to play this cinematic makes it impossible to unlock some of the playable characters. I think this could be easily fixed by someone experienced, and make this game platinum quickly.
Works perfectly.
Enjoy the game. It's cheap when on sales.
Platinum. Game runs well out of the box. No issues encountered. Was able to play with Steam Remote Play also.
As mentioned before, the game completely bugs when using SouSou's 236BC Hiougi lvl4 super, "Haou no Sabaki" or Judgement of the Overlord, according to the wiki. The opponent flies and stays falling infinitely down when this move is activated. Besides that, the game works flawlessly.
Played a few hundred of hours without issues.
Don't skip intros when playing online. It's not Linux's fault, it's the game's fault.
Used the https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install and the "clearcpuid=514" that was advised by other users.
little issues with the fullscreen, once I lock it with alt+enter, which is required to get proper framerate. Cannot alt-tab out of it, causes little inconvenience.
Keyboard stopped working in game, but was still able to open the steam overlay and forcequit from it(things would work normally, I would go in a quest and type something in the chat, and no more keyboard. Or, try to change my armor, and can't input anything other than my mouse's clicks anymore). This issue was caused by my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file that I had created, and incorrectly modified in the past to reduce screen stuttering. After removing some of the changes I made in the past, I did not experience this issue anymore. TL;DR: no issues. But if you encounter mine, maybe that'll help you. Re-downloading the game can do it as well.
Just a tiny bit less frames for the same settings.
The 1v1 mode of the demo works fine, the tutorials work, it's possible to fight the AI, the game runs. It looks great too.
Only with high/highest settings, big and weird artifacts happening.
When using higher graphical settings than the default, medium ones, weird visual artifacts happened, together with a heavy slowdown from 60fps down to 20fps in VS mode against the CPU. And in the loading screen where you can make your character make funny faces before the battle starts. Note that I kept the settings to reduce input lag on, and I saw little change with it on and off, this one seems to be working well.
A crash when using the "ShaderWarmingEnable=True" in config.ini: The game was warming up the shaders for about 2min30 and got to 1/4th, before crashing suddently. Another important instance of crash: When booting up the World Tour mode's first cinematic. At first, it crashed very early in the video. The 2nd time I tried, it crashed at the moment when Luke appears, very much at the beginning of the video still.
The most important ones are:
- The World Tour cinematic at the beginning, crashing
- Artifacts and slowdowns when using "highest" graphical settings
- Crash when using the option for warming up the shaders at the game's lunch.
The game boots and runs, the 1v1 mode works, I was able to fight the demo's CPU just fine. World tour mode crashed during the opening cinematic, the two times I tried. The "warming up shaders before the game lunches" option was terribly slow, and has resulted in a crash during it loading. I have high hopes the game will run wonderfully on release if the very valuable members of our community manage to find solutions to make the game run better for everyone. Thanks a lot for reading me, good luck everyone, let's have Street Fighter 6 run wonderfully everywhere! Thanks a lot in advance for your work.
