Runs at 90 out of the box. Best looking game that I've found that runs this well.
Stuck in windowed mode for unknown reason

FPS drop in fullscreen on older computer
FPS drop in fullscreen
In fullscreen mode FPS drops quite on a bit on an older machine
On my main computer the game runs fine, but on an older computer (phenom II with a 7850HD) it's super slow on fullscreen, but plays full speed when windowed.
Runs perfectly on the deck audio is perfect and clear and controls work amazingly even working with the touch pads.
Won't even start the game when you hit the play button nothing happens

Feels better than windows to be honest! The game had some weird clunky Window/Fullscreen behavior on Win10 feels smooth on Linux

Game runs out of the Box
I never had to configure anything, it just worked
Works like a charm :D

Base game works completely fine, dumped ~30 hours on Linux without issues. MODDED with the file limit mod, the game is completely broken.
Modding the game, mostly with the File Limit Remover mod the issues crop up
Great for the base game, or even if you need to mod. But if you need the File Limit Remover mod you're probably out of luck.

smooth, stable, very fun
The only issue I had was that some time in game (only!) the "map background square" in the top right moved to the left, but the map markers (red dots for enemies, yellow markers for objectives...) stayed where they are supposed to be, so basically the map became useless. On the other hand, the areas are very small and linear, so the map really is not required at all...
besided the small map-related bug there is nothing bad to say - you can just install and enjoy the game on Linux :)

Have no problems at all, it works fine
I had some problems with a fullscreen mode on windows but on linux that's not an issue so technically it works even better than before (at least for me)

MGR works perfectly. If you want to use the controller and Steam is installed as flatpak, here's a fix for you!
When you install Steam through flatpak, it doesn't come with steam-devices installed, so the game controllers don't work. But here's a quick fix:
- Download these files from ValveSoftware Github repo - 60-steam-input.rules and 60-steam-vr.rules
- Place them in /etc/udev/rules.d directory
- Restart the Steam Client and now, MGR will register your controller!
Works perfectly

The game worked very well. It ran well and consistently and felt as responsive as on Windows. I used MGROverride to set resolution to 4k.
Occasional artifacts during cutscenes.
Controller was detected and worked properly, but after some time the game's button prompts were for keyboard and mouse.
deserves the Platinum badge, works flawlessly at 60 FPS and I faced zero bugs or issues, perfect experience on the Steam Deck.

the game works perfectly, not a single problem. I got 4h of gameplay

fun game slice up robot, dont ever find the game balancing breaking bug
no issues with proton here! Game runs at 1080p max because it's old
Brief window launch and immediate crash on launch

Some codec descriptions are hard to read
Works flawlessly on the deck

gamemoderun %command%
You can easily complete the game, but you may notice that your fps drops to 50-55 (on my PC configuration)

Cannot go above 1080p Resolution natively
Use this mod if you want arbitrary resolutions: MGROverride https://www.nexusmods.com/metalgearrisingrevengeance/mods/1
Works perfectly, solid 60fps during gameplay. Occasional dip to 50-55 if you spend too long in Zandatsu.

Game crashed when switching to 1080p
No stable framerate
finished game totaly in linux (wayland with hyprland)

Game work perfectly, that's all

Uno de los mas confortantes juegos a instalar en Steam Deck instalarlo y a correr.

Same experience as Windows
Not any different than in Windows
Game was buggy, probably cos it's a port. Best played with a controller.

Working fine out of the box.
Have not noticed any issues with Proton 8.0-3, Worked fine with my PS3 DS3 controller.

Minimap is out of place. I'm faily sure it's because the game is 1080p only and I'm running it on a 1440p monitor + proton.
I used MGROverride to set 1440p resolution
Sometimes audio stop working. Only restarting the game helps
Can't go back to the game after switching to other window (with Alt-Tab)
The game stops recognizing the controller after a while (both wired and bluetooth). Disabling power saving on the controller in the steam settings helped me
FPS is not stable on high resolution. It's critical when you try to beat bosses without damage (especially Monsoon). Sometimes the parry window is too short, so you can't avoid getting damage. Setting the lowest resolution is a workaround
The game works almost perfectly out of the box. Controller is supported. You may need mods only if you want to play in high resolution like 1440p and higher
