Zero complaints, both in performance and game itself.
Doesn't run great at the moment, might need more tinkering or just more optimization from developers.
Extreme stuttering and frame spiking while driving.
Would probably hold off on this one for a couple of months and see if performance improves.
Scaling doesn't exist yet.
Infotainment system had some black artifacts but I just changed camera.
Using hood cam with very low settings gave me about 40fps but if you manually set the GPU clock to 1600Mhz, you get closer to 50fps.
gamemoderun %command%
Set Texture Pool Size to High (16GB of RAM) or Ultra (32GB of RAM) and most of the stuttering disappears finally.
Might crash when changing Texture Pool Size but can just force close and restart.
Thank you unknown contributor from earlier, fix worked great!

Would really recommend switching to a distro that get new NVIDIA drivers updated semi frequently, being stuck on 550 with something like Ubuntu is going to make the whole experience miserable with this game. Maxed settings except for the experimental ones all work fine with decent frame rates on 570 at least.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr11 DXVK_ASYNC=1 LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libgamemode.so ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 gamemoderun gamescope -f -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled --hdr-debug-force-output -- env ENABLE_GAMESCOPE_WSI=1 DXVK_HDR=1 DISABLE_HDR_WSI=1 %command% --skip-launcher
HDR and DLSS works.
LD_PRELOAD="" MANGOHUD=0 gamemoderun %command% -vulkan -sdlaudiodriver pipewire
Disable mangohud and if you dont have audio, use the "-sdlaudiodriver pipewire" launch option aswell.
MANGOHUD=0 gamemoderun %command% -vulkan -high -nojoy -novid -maxMem=9000k -sdlaudiodriver pipewire
HDR, Ray Tracing, Ray Reconstruction and DLSS works just fine but haven't been able to try Frame Generation.
PROTON_ENABLE_NGX_UPDATER=1 VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL=12_2 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr gamescope -ef -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled gamemoderun %command% --launcher-skip --intro-skip --skipstartScreen
Nvidia Reflex DOES NOT WORK AND WILL CRASH YOUR GAME so if you enabled it, launch the game with PROTON_DISABLE_NVAPI=1 and reset your settings, then try again.
Wasn't able to get in game without these launch options, so feel free to just copy-paste them :)
PROTON_ENABLE_NGX_UPDATER=1 VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL=12_2 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr gamescope -f -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled -- gamemoderun %command% --launcher-skip --intro-skip --skipstartScreen
Use RenoDX HDR Fix, improves the experience a lot. Would recommend getting in-game, setting graphics to low and disabling HDR before installing ReShade and RenoDX, had some issues when trying to do it all at once.
You might be able to remove some launch options, but I mixed and matched from other contributions and this one worked on my system.
gamescope -f -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled gamemoderun %command%
Runs great for the most part, had some slowdowns on first launch but was fine after.
gamescope -ef -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --force-grab-cursor --hdr-enabled gamemoderun %command%
Gamescope needs to force grab cursor or you only get 30 degrees of movement.
Had better results with choosing DX version in steam launch options menu instead of in-game.
PROTON_DISABLE_NVAPI=1 gamescope -ef -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled gamemoderun %command%
DLSS and Reflex won't work but it's worth it for frame generation.
gamescope -f -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled gamemoderun %command%
After changing settings and going back in-game, the camera will spin until you left-click.
Be sure to adjust your HDR intensity in settings to get an accurate experience.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 gamescope -ef -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled gamemoderun %command%
Have only tried Enhanced Edition of the game.
DXVK_HDR=1 gamescope -f -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled gamemoderun %command%
Change these two in the file /steamapps/compatdata/356190/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/WB Games/Shadow of War/Render.cfg to fit your specifications, or game will render at very low internal resolutions, example: "ScreenHeight16by9" "1440.000000" "ScreenWidth16by9" "2560.000000"
HDR accuracy might be okay but was clipping slightly on my setup, so results may vary.
Seems to work out of the box.
Low FPS in level selection room, but not in the levels themselves.
Experimental and GE worked without a hitch.
gamescope -ef -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled gamemoderun %command%
Runs pretty good, but I'm not sure if the HDR modes are super accurate.
gamescope -f -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled -- gamemoderun %command%
Use RenoDX HDR Fix with ReShade for more accurate HDR.
HDR is functional out-of-the-box, but it feels like SDR with saturation and contrast set to 300%.

Keyboard inputs sometimes get nullified when pressing multiple keys.
gamescope -f -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled gamemoderun %command%
Runs great, sucks that it's locked at 60 though.
Refresh Rate: 40hz

Would recommend bringing a charger because this game is hard to put down once you get going.

Multiplayer ran great on Proton.
gamemoderun %command% -freq 180 -novid -windowed -noborder
Borderless Windowed might not include taskbar.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 gamescope -f -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled --force-grab-cursor -- gamemoderun %command%
Installed vcrun2022 to stop startup crash.
Frame generation works but render quality kind of sucks.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 gamescope -f -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 180 --hdr-enabled --force-grab-cursor gamemoderun %command% --launcher-skip
Gamescope needs to force grab the cursor or the camera spins in place at Mach 4.
