Works, but launcher is iffy.
God powers are misaligned to the header bar
Launcher looks like garbage and can cause game to crash before launch. Luckily, there is option on steam launch to bypass launcher.
Created file settings.cfg and added the following values:

Pain in the butt to diagnose what the issue was, but using some strong google fu, was able to reverse engineer and tinker my way into a solution.
Works OOTB
Will re-evaluate when game is fully released. This is a report on the playtest but it works as normal.
huge frame drops when playing / loading into new areas
Crashes frequently and hangs the whole system in the process
After 2-3x of causing a full system lock, I was done with this game.
Launching with Proton Experimental (as of 3/1/2023) causes a background launch but the game never comes up. Tried also with Glorious Eggroll. Switching to 6.3-8 brings the game up and plays like native.
Runs OOTB
Works just fine on Proton. No issues other than it may take a while to boot into the game.
Ran around in the garage, watched two cutscenes, shot a few zombie dogs. Minimal hiccuping from quick turns with the mouse.
How to fix broken audio:
Downgraded to Proton 4.11-13
protontricks 287450 directmusic
install protontricks instructions here: https://github.com/Matoking/protontricks
(protontricks sometimes will not automatically create a symlink [command not found], so /path/to/protontricks 287450 directmusic may be more applicable)
Audio works like a charm after protontricks
Alt+Tab will sometimes crash the game.
Using GE, but i don't think that should matter. Runs like a beaut.
Plays perfectly out of the box.
Soft-crashes on Alt+Tab (Black screen and game won't re-render)

Occasional stutters on what i assume is loading the next zone, very minor inconvenience
Played the tutorial level and level 1 and it seems to run great. Occasional stutter. LGTM ^_^
