Must use the file.dll from Interknet user (here on ProtonDB) in order to play the game. No Cloud Save, but local save are fine.

Invisible textures are fixed with PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%. But then the main issue is the camera moving fast and by itself on the bottom right of the screen. It's "playable", but with pain and tears, until this "bug" is solved.
Very low FPS (unplayable) unless options set to Low Potato

Works very well, BUT you must use 5.9-GE-3-ST Proton, or perf are really bad. With the GE version, no issue.
Tried a few different Proton and EG versions, can only get a windowed black screen and nothing but Alf+F4.
As said already : + select "netframework472" in Steam Beta tab. + protontricks 829590 dotnet471 -q + protontricks 829590 d3dcompiler_47 -q
Tried all previously mentioned tricks, Proton version, GE, py script, github anti cheat, Steam Offline, etc.
All i can get is Gogu banner, black screen, crash.

Basic : launch the game once with the .py file, but with this line commented :
util.replace_command('DBFighterZ.exe','RED/Binaries/Win64/RED-Win64-Shipping.exe')
Then let it crash, go to the .py file and uncomment the line, now you can play.
Game crashs because of missing fonts. Add Cambria font files in steamapps/common/Proton##/dist/share/wine/fonts/ No more issue.
Riftland runs pretty well, but there is a bug with the cursor. When moving it over something that should open up a tooltip, the cursor's size increase like x10, sometimes hiding the text being it. Not a big deal, but still annoying from time to time.
Anti Cheat kicks the player 5 seconds after entering a match
Can access menu and all, but impossible to actually play, anti-cheat system kicks.
First minute is playable, as soon as you get out of the cave, game is totally broken, unplayable at all.
After you exit the cave (playable, one minute of small tuto), the game is broken, glitch and artifact and all. Not playable at all.
Mouse is weird, and invisible on main menu at first. Need to click a few times, or switch full/window screen
Perf are terrible ever in low settings
Can’t exit the game, must manually kill the process.
All good, no trick, nothing, just hit the button and play. Also, soon to be native, dev is going to port it.

It was running fine several months ago with previous versions of the game. Now even with all Proton, Ex, EG... it’s simply not possible to play.
Does not start, tried different options in Steam launcher, nothing.
Thanks to Flywheel’s report, the game runs and so far no issue !
1/ Install the game and launch it at least once, wait for the crash, then open a terminal to do : protontricks 1224290 d3dcompiler_47
2/ Add this on Steam Launch option : WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3dcompiler_47=n" %command%
3/ Play.
Crash after every battle + weird textures in selection screen and intro scenes make the it frustrating. You must restart the game often.
Intro scenes and selection screen are broken, characters have black or weird colors. Fixed once in real battle.
Crash after a match in versus and story. It's playable, but you have to restart the game after every single battle.

Tried with different version of Proton, generic, experimental and GE up to 6.20-GE1, crash after splash screen.
A workaround from the dev to play via Proton, was to remove the musics. The sounds effects are still good, so it’s really a minor issue, IMO. No issue since this hotfix.
Runs well without any tricks
Audio has some very discrete cracklings on some sounds, nothing too annoying
With 5.11-GE-3-MF GloriousEggroll, no issue, cutscenes in Story mod, intro, gang play, all good.
With GE-5, crash on start. With normal Steam Proton, cutscenes don’t play and Story mod crash. Use GE-3 and game runs nicely.
Runs well via Proton 5.13-6, but no video and english only.
No video, must hit Escape to skip. Tried the game in French, cannot load a new game. Tried the game in English, it runs well.
Works very well in solo offline, playing with xboxone USB gamepad.
No multiplayer because lobby was empty, but i could make one and connect. I couldn’t test real game online yet.
Doesn't run at all (stuck on the launcher with some weird glitches), unless i use PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %COMMAND% and then it does run very well.
It’s a Unity game. It runs, not at best perf, but it’s so far fully playable.
Could be my GTX960 2Go, but on medium i feel it’s quite slow even if nothing major is happening on screen.
First load is very long (2-3 minutes). Later are faster (20-30 seconds).
Ça tourne sur une 960 à 2Go, mais le mini recommandé est plutôt une 1060 à 3Go.

Proton Experimental runs the game, but some other Proton versions crash, so try your luck, or don’t.
Does not even start via Steam (i tried every known tricks), but does run via WINE if launched from the local folder, at least on my system.
Can access menu, change options etc, but as soon as i try to actually play, it's over. Greenish screen with infinite loading. Tried all the main tweaks, no luck.
With the PTR beta branch, works very well, minus the intro video not playing at all.
