At this moment I only have 1 hour of playtime, but this time there wasn't any kind of problem. Game runs as native.
As others are saying I also add this launch option "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 %command%" but not tried to test that one needs or not.
Just add this launch option> PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 %command%
Game runs approximately same as in Windows.
Punkbuster
Press NEW GAME crashes game when using Proton versions newer than 4.11-13
Steam's DRM not allows that game to launch with Proton
Game runs fine with Lutris. Just use that manual and game will run without problem https://gist.github.com/tpurde/f6e9d3f9d96da33e2151d1678b768f57
Just runs as native
VAC
To unlock 91FPS lock run this command in console without quotes "seta com_maxfps 0" (Same as Windows).
Game doesn't need any tweaks to play. Runs very well.
DLSS works well and it boosts in game FPS from 40 to 75 for me. I'm playing only ULTRA graphical settings. Can't compare to Windows, because I have never played it on Windows.
Briliant graphics and performance
Not need any tweaks, install game and enjoy. ID Software's made games not need any tweaks, they run as native.
If game installed on HDD, shaders update need long time and it seriously impacts disk performance. Recomended install game on SSD and this problem goes away.
To unlock 30 FPS lock you need to turn off v-sync from settings and go to game's directory and in file "GraphicOptions.JSON" change ""FRAME_RATE_LIMIT": 1 to 4.
If game not starts, it means shaders compilation not finished yet, so be sure that Shader Pre-Caching is enabled in Steam app's settings. To speed up compilation process temporary turn off Steam's in game overlay for this game and try press Play button, when game starts exit it and turn on overlay again. Game runs very smooth with Proton 5.13-4. With Proton Experimental I got very unstable framerates, so use stable Proton 5.13-4. For stable performance I used this launch option: "taskset -c 0-5 %command%", change it depending with your CPU cores. For unlock 30/60FPS, you need go to games directory (/Steam/steamapps/common/Detroit Become Human) and in file "GraphicOptions.JSON" change "FRAME_RATE_LIMIT" 1 to 4. after this just turn off vsync in game and injoy.
Briliant performance, no critical frame drops, makes me feel that game made for Linux too.
Latest Nvidia driver 460 has some bugs and game crashes when starting chapter 29, "Last Chance, Connor". After little search in web, I found that same problem have Windows users too. So I temporary installed Ubuntu with Nvidia 450.102.04 driver on my PC (Before chapter 29 I played it on Arch Linux) and finished game.
On singleplayer side game is enjoyable, I can't say same on myltiplayer, because anti-cheat blocks that OS.
proton-ge-custom-bin 5.11_GE_3_MF-1 GloriousEggroll
protontricks 976730 win7
Without Proton-GE and protontricks, game audio wasn't worked outside of menu. With that trick singleplayer side runs out of the box.
I played DirectX 12 version and it runs very well with VKD3D. Not tried DirectX 11 version.
Firefox's DRM content launcher
It's not game, it's web serial. To watch it, just press PLAY button. Steam calls your default web browser. To watch videos on Steam, be sure that DRM content is enabled in your browser.
Without launch option "%command% --disable-gpu" launcher is white and can't see anything.
proton-ge-custom-bin 5.11_GE_3_MF-1 GloriousEggroll
Shows that VRAM is 0.00 GB, but it doesn't effect anything in game.
Only tested DirectX11 version of that game, not tried DirectX12.
Game runs very well. I'm playing at highest graphical settings and there is no any performance degradation or some graphical glitches.
At this moment game is playable only on EAC disabled servers.
Except no EAC support, at this moment there is also no Nvidia's DLSS support, but Nvidia announced that DLSS support for DXVK/VKD3D will be someware in autumn of 2021 year.
Game runs very well, without graphical glitches or performance degradation.
Never played it on Windows but looks like game runs as native.
