Low volume for NPC voices. Might not be specific to Linux.

working flawless with zero problems.
No tinkering needed. No launch options. Just go straight forward for the "play" button... and Play! :)

alt+tab in a loading screen froze the game if using fullscreen

In the intro I had 14-20 frames. In the game 1-3 frames. Identical problems as in the base game.

crashes on save
-- Crucial for avoiding crashes on save: Find Default.ini in (inst_path/BioShock Remastered/Build/Final) --> set value for MaximumLevelSaveSizeBytes from =2097152 to =20971520 (max save size from 2mb to 20mb in bytes. 10mb would also work)
-- Correct texture loading: disable F- & E-Sync through Launch options: PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1
-- Correct mouse detection: Disable Steam input, maybe disconnect controller
Games works perfectly out of the box

Stuck on 1st loading screen
I got stuck on the initial loading screen before the game starts for the 1st time. Just and endless loop of loading screen quotes.

Corre perfectamente sin hacer algun cambio, puedes modificar el TDP para una mayor autonomia

Played with Proton-Experimental [bleeding-edge] in 1080p fullscreen with 60 FPS stable.
I had no problems with the 2k launcher or with the game itself.
Just install and play!

-nointro
if i tabbed out to another workspace the game would go in windowed mode and go pixelated and id have to manually go into the settings and set it to 1980x1080 fullscreen

Works out of the box at a smooth 60FPS.
Now, would you kindly change the anisotropic filter in the in-game settings at 16x. It can take it.
Worked out the box no tinking needed

My PowerA Xbox 360 controller is detected by the Steam system but it is not working on the game. It is not allowed to play with it, but it works on other games.

On first run the 2K launcher didnt seem to realise the game was installed telling me to launch it from the installed place (ie Steam) Closed the launcher and started again from Steam, no further issues and launches everytime
No issues that I have noticed.

Blurry textures, fixed by disabling FSYNC and ESYNC
I have it with Epic Games. Tried with using Lutris and it didn't work.. Online suggested trying Heroic launcher and that works. Just use this to install it and follow the tinker suggestion and it should work just fine.
- flatpak install flathub com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl

The game runs smoothly but with FSYNC and ESYNC turned on textures are too blurry but is a easy fix disabling FSYNC and ESYNC
Blurry textures, fixed disabling FSYNC and ESYNC

Once after getting back from suspend the audio was playing faster than it should. Had to restart the game
Crashed once throughout 20h of playing

Textures appeared very blurry even when standing right in front of them.
Game hangs severely on saving (for about a minute) before the loading screen actually appears and it starts saving.

Does not start without adding launch parameters

I had no issues with the game at all. I did no tinkering and it just works... But I did have some minor graphic degradation.
For the Graphic Degradation all I had was some Texture flickering and some lighting issues. albiet all very minor not enough to ruin the gaming experiance.

bash -c 'exec "${@/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe/Build\/Final\/BioshockHD.exe}"' -- %command% -nointro
I run essentially all my games using Experimental, so I haven't tried is with stable versions. But I set the launch options to get rid of the 2K launcher, but other than that, the game works like a charm. Haven't had any stuttering as some people have experienced. It just works out of the box for me.

It runs perfect just like the original Bioshock but the only problem is the 2k launcher, another bloatware.

none
Can be launched via Epic with Wine (or probably Proton as well), but 2K Launcher needs to be circumvented. Since normal Steam parameters are not in use here:
- Install the game via Epic (which should be already installed via Lutris)
- Locate Epic's manifests. Typically stored inside a wine "container" emulating Windows instance, if you use the default Epic location, it should be here: /home/%username%/Games/epic-games-store/drive_c/ProgramData/Epic/EpicGamesLauncher/Data/Manifests/
- Manifests have an extension .item but internally are text files. Open them one by one and check the parameter called "InstallLocation" until you find the specific manifest for Bioshock. Make a reserve copy of it, just in case.
- Find the parameter "LaunchExecutable". In the vanilla manifest, it holds the path to 2K Launcher. Replace this path with
"Build/FinalEpic/BioshockHD.exe"
. - Launch the game via Epic client.
The only problem I encountered so far is occasional freezes when hacking devices and saving the game. The game often "thinks" for a few seconds before reacting in these cases.

DXVK_ASYNC=1 bash -c 'exec "${@/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe/Build\/Final\/BioshockHD.exe}"' -- %command% -nointr
Needs the "DXVK_ASYNC=1 bash -c 'exec "${@/2KLauncher/LauncherPatcher.exe/Build/Final/BioshockHD.exe}"' -- %command% -nointr" to start.
After switching to an older Proton version an applying the launch options, it works quite well
DXVK_ASYNC=1 bash -c 'exec "${@/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe/Build\/Final\/BioshockHD.exe}"' -- %command% -nointro

runs perfect from start to finish
had no trouble with the game at all, everything worked fine.
Works great. 2K launcher thing is annoying but doesn't cause any problems.

Game installiert und gespielt. Es läuft ohne Probleme
Beim ersten Gamestart macht der 2k-Launcher Probleme. Einfach das Fenster schließen und Game neu starten. Danach tritt kein Fehler (bis jetzt) mehr auf.

DXVK_ASYNC=1 bash -c 'exec "${@/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe/Build\/Final\/BioshockHD.exe}"' -- %command% -nointr
Some weird artifacting near the beginning when there's a flashing light effect.
Very stable once you get past the 2K launcher
