Game no longer crashes on character creation. The game performs about the same performance of Windows. Online partially tested, I joined the Public Campaign Server but there was no one else.
Fix missing NPC voices and crackling audio:
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
On non-standard resolutions, you need to edit your Fallout4.ini file and manually set it in the [Display] category.
In my case that I'm using a 5:4 monitor:
bBorderless=0 bFull Screen=1 iSize H=1024 iSize W=1280
Not doing so will result on the game being unstable.
Fullscreen windowed is not possible without activating a Virtual Desktop, but remember to disable the Game Overlay UI otherwise the game will crash when you press Shift+Tab.
Add this to your Fallout4Custom.ini:
[Controls] fMouseHeadingSensitivity=0.0154 bMouseAcceleration=0 bBackgroundMouse=1 fMouseHeadingXScale=.021 fMouseHeadingYScale=.042
This will fix most of the Mouse issues (And also disable the dreaded Mouse Acceleration, but you can enable it if it works for you)
The game will crash sometimes when loading a game, opening the game and trying again will work.
If you Quit to Desktop while in an active game the game will crash. Quit to the main menu, then quit to desktop for more security.
No tweaks needed, but the game will crash instantly when trying to play unless you load the tutorial first.
Performance problems prevent you from playing comfortable.
No noticeable issues.
The game runs, however it's a bit unstable (It may crash on alt-tab or if you use a screenshot tool).
Online is not possible due to EAC.
Patch 1.02 requires EAC on at all times (even if you want to play offline) making this game unplayable on Steam Play, the game will simply not boot.
Game is unable to connect with Online servers, which are required in this game.
Game now successfully connects to the servers, the only thing that's preventing me from giving it a platinum rating is a strange lighting flickering.
Actual online matches were not tested.
The game needs the files "gm16.dls" and "gm.dls", these must go in "steamapps/compatdata/266210/pfx/drive_c/windows/syswow64/drivers".
You also need to install "directmusic" and "dsdmo" via winetricks/protontricks. If the game fails to start (blackscreen), set "sound=alsa" as well.
This also fixes the dead process on exit, the game now closes gracefully.
- Without doing these steps, you might experience the same problems as in the rest of the reports.
Switch to OpenGL renderer by editing config file: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Serious_Sam_2#Graphics_problems_or_crashes
Even though the game is marked as "Native", there's no audio though the gameplay, even if you force Proton.
Starts, but it's on a infinite loading screen, thus preventing you from playing it.
Game doesn't work. Tried renaming the executable and Data folder workaround and the game starts, but I'm greeted with a black screen and I'm unable to do anything else that's not closing the game.
If you know a workaround for this I'd appreciate if you submit another ProtonDB report for this game. Thanks in advance.
You must rename "Koikatsu Party.exe" to "Initial Settings.exe" and rename the folder "Koikatsu Party_Data" to "Initial Settings_Data".
If you get a black screen you need to set the game's launch parameters to "TZ=America/New_York %command%"
