works natively without tinkering
no need for heroic, just install and launch, no bugs no crashes and playable until finish
Works out of the box with the default reccomended compatibility, no tinkering required
online works as intended
native wont launch and i didnt bothered to use the solution on the previous user' comments, but i tried proton experimental and proton-GE 8-32 and they both launch painlessly without extra tinkering. my ps5 dualshock didnt detect automatically so i had launch this game in big screen mode to use steam's controller input. benchmarking this game on my rig with graphics at max at 1080p gave me avg 104 min 85 max 138
which is miles ahead of when i did the benchmark on windows with only avg 70
works fine OOTB
sometimes dips to 40 fps
no bugs no glitches, im just slightly confused on why this dips to 40 fps sometimes (given my hardware and the low graphics)
works better on linux!
default proton experimental, works out of the box with MUCH less fps drops compared to win11, unfortunately no way of installing mods yet
if you go fast enough sometimes textures load incorrectly
occasional stuttering (which were also present in windows)
works fine on my dual monitor setup running xorg11, no problem detecting kb+m or gamepad (but unfortunately no rumble support) both windowed or full screen. my benchmark on high preset gave average of 86 fps which is around 5% than my test on windows
FH4 launched successfully without tinkering just using proton experimental
though occasionally textures will load incorrectly fortunately i did not meet any gamebreaking bugs nor did the game crash on me, its a shame the stuttering persist here which is also a problem on windows
reccomended
some stuttering occured middle of the match, usually when effects pop off
multiplayer plays perfectly fine, anti cheat no issues
played the game with proton experimental, and DX11 since DX12 gave me tons of fps drops. no bugs.
do note i have a dual monitor setup running on xorg x11, had no issues at all playing with gamepad or keyboard+mouse game detects both and no issues on fullscreen either, played from start to finish on linux using both kb+m and gamepad without any game bugs or input problems. definitely reccomend!
Works ootb without issues. but, get half of fps as in windows
HALF of fps on windows
all i did was use proton experimental and no further tinkering. got the game running perfectly with no bugs nor crashes. but on 1080p maxed out my rig could only give 20-35 fps, as in windows im comfortably gaming 60 fps ++
small performance boost compared to win11, unfortunately no way of installing mods
performs at a mere 20fps
tried feral gamemode, eggroll, and proton experimental. they didnt fix the performance issue of running this game at a mere 20 fps (my rig does 60++ on windows). but it does launch painlessly and i did not encounter any sort of bug nor crashes
