bit of frame drops but overall not bad
gamemoderun gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -r 144 --force-grab-cursor -- %command%
Game doesn't run with proton experimental and instantly crashes. Had to enable proton 9.0.3. Game takes around ~1 minute to launch, but after this it runs perfectly. For hyprland had to set launch options.
gamemoderun gamescope -w 1440 -h 1080 -W 1920 -H 1080 -r 144 -f -S stretch -F pixel --sharpness 8 --force-grab-cursor --steam -- %command%
Fragpunk works flawlessly under Proton. No issues, no complaints
gamescope -w 2560 -h 1440 -f -r 170 --force-grab-cursor -- %command%
Only applies to Hyprland! Fixed by downgrading gamescope to v 3.14.29-1 and running with mentioned start arguments. Adjust according to your resolution and refresh rate.
It's just great, honestly.
Only problems on Hyprland, otherwise this game just works a charm!
For Hyprland and Nvidia users (so like the other 3 people besides me): The newest gamescope version 3.15.11 (on arch, but also the one from git) freeze on nvidia cards! Downgrade to version 3.14.29-1 and run with launch arguments specified above and you're in! If you use AMD GPUs, newest gamescope should work fine. :D
gamescope -f -e -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 165 -- %command%
Intermittent tracking, had to enable Gamescope to fix
Sometimes the game doesn't start and also crashes. In that case I have to exit and re-enter the game.
Works great on KDE Plasma (both X11 and Wayland) For Hyprland a few tweaks are needed such as launch commands and having to restart the game
gamescope -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 120 --force-grab-cursor -- %command%
Mouse was laggy or it was interpreted as a touchpad. Launch commands solved it.
Every other time even though I could connect to a game I would have to restart the game to actually launch into the game
If you are on Hyprland be sure to use gamescope and grab cursor WITHOUT any forced compatibility settings from the Properties part of the game. Game is perfectly playable on Linux as of this Closed Beta, my issues were specific to Hyprland tiling window manager. I believe you can play it with ease on KDE Plasma on Arch linux in my experience.
PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
Perfect
gamescope -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 165 --force-grab-cursor -- %command%
Cursor was not being grabbed (see notes)
Mouse input stuttering. (see notes)
Game works OOTB without enabling any kind of proton. I was having issues with mouse input suttering and seeming like the game was interpreting my inputs as coming from a touch pad. A kind fella helped me out in the game's discord. As far as I can tell this only happens on Hyprland.
The fix: Disable Compatability tools in the game properties in steam. Add this gamescope line in the launch options:
gamescope -W 2560 -H 1440 -r 165 --force-grab-cursor -- %command%
Change as needed to match your setup of course.
razer viper 8k, tive que reduzir os HZ do mouse tava bugando no jogo, estou usando 2khz agora
Jogo rodou super bem! tava precisando de um game desse tipo no linux
some stuttering occured middle of the match, usually when effects pop off
multiplayer plays perfectly fine, anti cheat no issues
Perfect OOTB
one single crash
Ran smooth and stable
Anticheat also seems to work perfect and performance is great
gamemoderun mangohud ENABLE_VKBASALT=1 %command%
Runs perfect
Awesome game and runs perfect.
Proton Experimental seems to have midia problems (video format of cutscenes), but it works fine with GE
Proton Experimental works fine too, but I got some problems with proton experimental with video format (cutscenes) that I didn't got it with GE.
Played online for around 3 hours with barely a single frame drop below 100. No other problems had with bugs.
