Your engine sound is gone when you repeat an actual ended race.
Game crash when you repeat a actual ended race.
I already writ a review for Proton 6.5-GE-2 and this version is very unstable. With version 6.9-GE-2 it is possible to play the game relatively good. But never repeat an actual ended race! Your engine sound will disappear and the game crash after a while. I've tested it yet but I think it's better to repeat a race from the race select menu.

PS4 Controller is only available in wired mode.
Had one crash till now after resuming save game.
Despite of good hardware the game is stuttering partly especially in open areas but otherwise run smoothly.
Good playable with partly stuttering and PS4-Controller input issues.
PS4 Controller only available in wired mode. In Markus' drawing scene the controller interaction fails/hangs. It is a interaction sign for the right thumb stick shown but doesn't work with it. Only the interaction with mouse in this case worked.
First played with Proton 5.11-GE-1-MF and then with 5.0.9. Worked with both but the PS4 Controller input issue in Markus' drawing scene is still present. To tweak the FPS lock (from 1 to 4 (unlimited)) in config files don't fix the stutter issue.

Dishonored 2 is very good playable if it ran for a time. In some situations the graphics could hang shortly because it compiles some not yet used shades in the background. But the shaders once compiled, the game runs very smooth.
Playable very well with the mentioned fixes here but with some restrictions.
The prerendered videos are not playable also not the 4th in-game video from the main quest (Lv. 15).

Sometimes, especially in cutscenes, a bit of crackling audio but 99% of the game is fine.
In some caves odd cartoon-like inky shadows.
With increasing progression the game or the graphics freeze for couple of milliseconds while autosave.
To avoid sound crackles just add PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 to the start command line. The sound is a bit async at cutscenes but it's manageable.
A couple of teeny-tiny glitches but I think it could also be a regular engine glitch.
Full screen jumps a couple times back to desktop so you have to switch back to the game every kick. But it's also very good playable in borderless window mode.
The game is very good playable out of the box but you have to a the audio tweak to the start command line. It's also good if you add »gamemoderun« (installed gamemode needed) to the start line to improve the performance. I can play at ultra settings (FidelityFX CAS off) in 1080p with almost 60 FPS (min. 23, avg. 54, max. 81).

Game worked very well with my hardware setup and Raytracing (High) + DLSS 3 (Quality).
Proton 4.21-GE3
German audio fails with Proton 4.11-13 and is still English. So used custom Proton version.
Sometimes flickering shadows.
PlayStation 4 Controller not recognizable.
Crashed sometimes at beginning of first creature takeover with Proton 4.11-13.
As already mentioned Lost Ember runs very well with Proton 4.11-13. But the PlayStation 4 Controller can't be detected and will be interpreted as Switch Controller. Xbox 360 Controller was detected correctly.
Important for German players: The game works a bit better with a higher Porton 4.x version from Glorious Eggroll. I first played the game with Proton 4.21-GE 3 because with 4.11-13 the German audio failed and was still English. But with 4.21-GE3 you can't get any achievements so you have to try a lower version than 4.21-GE3. After beat LE is got all my achievements by switching back to 4.11-13, but for 2 special achievements I had to start a new game and got them within 1 hour.
Works out of the box with older 7.0-6 Proton version. But I recommend to install the mentioned widescreen fix and graphic tweaks.

[ENHANCED EDITION] Work for me with Proton 8.0-5 and mentioned start parameters without Hairworks.

I fiddled much around to get the game working. The ORIGINAL would work fine if Raytracing would not bring the game to stutter. The ENHANCED EDITION works find without Hairworks. I played the game shortly in ultra settings with DLSS at quality and VRS off - Advanced PhysX is also disabled. Shortly because I drop this game. I only wanted to get you maybe good running solution.
Game and it's initial videos work but with slighly different Xbox 360 controller mapping and not functional Gamespeak menue and backgr. vid.

Sometimes but rarely the sound crackles or do loud "boom" sounds.
The games works good except of the sutters and short freezes. You can try optimize the game as mentioned beyond but nothing really worked for me. The culprit lies to the devs that give a shit about proper PC optimization or port.
After the patch in January 2024 still a mess. Not really playable at all and crashes on approaching Koboh.

Mayn stutters in high and also epic details with enabled Raytracing.
Game crashes every time at first approaching Koboh with error "Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000104".
I tried a lot to get this game fully playable but still failing. I tried using Proton Experimental, Porton 9.0 (Beta) and also GE-Proton Versions. The game is reasonably playable till Koboh with Proton Eperimental and 9.0 (Beta). GE-Proton doesn't work at all on systems with Nvidia GPUs and failing with Link2EA blanked error window. DXVK stuff can't be used on normal Proton due lack of implementation. I don't know if a ini optimaziation work but didn't found one yet.

FPS has to lock to 60 or Spyro will slide by hilmself in stand. In the past you had to lock it to 30 FPS but now it is 60.
Ah and sound crackling is only every so often.

I recorded some short stutters in special situations with the raytraced game. I don't know if they also occur in the unraytraced game and were mostly on interactions with the rolling barrels or these following routine robots. The stutter occurs mostly in calm situations. In situations like escape of the Zurks were nothing. All smooth.
I had see also some reports about "artifacts" around the cat. I also recognized some "artifacts" but they are usual. It is the furr. :)
And do not wonder about the one or two "glitchy" soundtracks. They are also usual and composed like this.
