Game ran at a smooth 60fps at max graphics
The exit button on the game closes the window but does not actually stop the game according to steam, your playtime will continue to go up, you have to click the stop button on steam as well to properly close the game.
FPS was capped at 60 even with VSync off, and doesn't give the option to choose 144hz in the display settings., but I believe this happens on Windows too.
Game crashes too often to be playable
The furthest I got was part-way through the first cutscene, it crashes every few minutes, completely unplayable until this is fixed.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% if you're using an AMD GPU
Failed to allocate video memory as of most recent updated
6.66 worked fine but there was a small patch and that seems to have broken it for me.
Completely smooth experience, running game at max graphics 90 fps, no windowing issues, perfect
DXVK_ASYNC=1 mangohud %command%
Some stuttering, solved with DXVK_ASYNC=1
protontricks 2051430 vcrun2019
is required to run the game, if you get an error about protontricks failing to find pressure vessel, make sure your protontricks version is 1.8.2 or higher (as of writing, protontricks-git in the AUR is 1.8.2, the official protontricks package is not)
after doing that, the game runs flawlessly
I've tested experimental, 7.0-1, 6.3-8, and GE 7.1. The stop button goes back to saying play after a few seconds.
MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.5 MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=450 %command%
The native seems to run fine apart from somewhat often crashes.
Older eggroll versions and normal proton fails to launch the game.
Lag spikes were a bit annoying, disappeared after the start, might not be proton specific
protontricks 371660 uplay
Occasional lag spikes, I got these regardless of graphics settings.
The cybervoid repository in echoes crashed the game if I use 6.3-4, using 5.13 fixed this.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% helps with suttering
minor crackling, stuttering audio even when the framerate is fine
visible stuttering loading into a new area, ran fine otherwise
ASYNC is not required but eases the stuttering
Apart from waiting 20 hours to finish installing it cos if internet the game runs beautifully
Nearly max graphics, smooth 60fps, no problems.
Didn't run with steam play, runs fine with native though so just used that.
Click play, join game, start shooting low poly characters
Apart from the performance issue I mentioned, the game is flawless, and I'm so happy I can finally play it
The game runs fine at high graphics most of the time. If the camera has to move quickly there's significant lag, dropping to 40-50 fps whilst swinging or in hectic fights, and I can get it to 20 fps if I spin
Extra tinkering is required, at least for DWM, but the game itself runs beautifully, 60-150 fps depending on location at max graphics.
Mousing to the other monitor breaks the game, can still see the game but cannot regain focus, stuck to second monitor. Sometimes Alt + Tab works sometimes it doesn't.
WINEPREFIX=/home/moth/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1233570/pfx winecfg and setting windows to not be controlled by window manager is required for DWM. After origin install the game black screens without this and you cannot play.

Crashes were caused by gel when playing on Native. Fixed by switching to Proton.
A blank EA window will appear on startup, just wait a while and the actual game will launch.
Apart from the lag when first placing portals it's flawless.
There was lag when I first placed portals at the start of every match, after placing a few it goes away completely though. Lag is lessened by turning down portal rendering.
Game runs beautifully, 144 fps at max graphics and still consistently above 70 fps with lots of destruction.
The game thinks I'm on Windows and tries to find a .exe file when it's downloaded a .sh file, the game runs fine if you use ./Unbound.sh to run it however.
