The game uses mouse smoothing, the only way to disable it, is via config files.
DX11 has has stuttering, DX12 runs better.

Works perfectly out of the box

Occasional stuttering, especially during the slow-motion after clearing a room
Make sure to pick DirectX 11
env MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun %command%

PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
The launch option is only needed if you'd like to use DLSS with a Nvidia card; Otherwise the game works fine out of the box!

Works in mainmenu, not playable in actual game
vc2019
Tried to run with protontricks and vc2019 installed. Did nothing really, unfortunately unplayable.
Works out of the box

Had no issues launching and playing the game
Just perfect! No tinkering required

Stutters on loading new models I think
Possibly need a tweak to deal with the stuttering but should be good.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Works flawlessly

Game stuck on launching
Same issue as Astroneer, for some reason gets stuck on "launching" after I installed it yesterday on my main PC. The game previously worked flawlessly. Verifying integrity of game gets stuck on resetting install script and steam fails durring uninstall with "Connection timed out". My best guess is a steam related issue as it is only happening with a two of my games so far. Both games have the same identical issues.
Game is not playable on the first run, you will have to suffer through a couple stuttery runs before performance stabilizes.
Significant stuttering when entering new areas. Improved on subsequent playthroughs, so I believe this may be a shader issue.

In-game 30 FPS cap
Implant details, class loadout/descriptions, compass markers
Performance plummets while in the hub area. When dialogue windows are open, GPU usage spikes and FPS drops below 30.

Crashes immediately after Deadlink's initial splash screen.
Additionally, the UE4 crash dialogue force closes before it is able to populate and I am unable to find related logs.
I tried several Proton versions including Experimental and a few GE versions. Lastly, installing vcrun2019 via protontricks did not resolve my issue either.
lock to 40 turn down settings 12watt
slow perforance but it is early access had to turn it to low for 60fps but locked it to 40 for better battery
Videos doesn't show with SteamProton default and shows graphical glitch, after that the game is completely playable without any issues.
Videos doesn't load with default Proton.
The other error people is having with Microsoft software during installation, didn't happens to me maybe due the fact that it's already installed from other games.
The video glitch is similar to the one that happens with other games cinematics or in-game videos. Using ProtonGE should fix it.
Shader caching.

The game requires Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime, which I've installed with the command: protontricks 2051430 vcrun2019
. If you had Steam open during this process, restarting it might also be necessary.
Stuttering at the start, likely due to shaders not being cached; no issues otherwise
This report is for the demo, as the main game hasn't been released yet. Launching without tinkering likely won't work, as it didn't boot for me otherwise.
protontricks 2051430 vcrun2019
is required to run the game, if you get an error about protontricks failing to find pressure vessel, make sure your protontricks version is 1.8.2 or higher (as of writing, protontricks-git in the AUR is 1.8.2, the official protontricks package is not)
after doing that, the game runs flawlessly

Had to use this command before playing:
protontricks 2051430 vcrun2019
Performance stuttering (due to shader caching, resolved itself eventually)
Operating System:
Arch Linux
Proton Versions:
Default, Experimental, GE (GE-Proton7-20)
Works well, when everything is installed.
I had to install protontricks
and install Visual C++ that way (command used is written above). At first launch you'll run into some stuttering. This is probably because of shader caching, it resolved itself eventually. I noticed that game run slightly better at Experimental & GE versions of Proton.
