Installed FAudio to have audio in cutscenes.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=d" %command%
SDL_AUDIODRIVER didn't work for me (seems only some versions of proton work), then i saw someone that installed FAudio and it worked, i kept looking and just one override not to use builtin xaudio was the only thing needed from the winetricks verb.
Audio in cutscenes works since GE-Proton8-2
It works out of the box but the screen doesn't appear when you save the game unless you use WineD3D.
In dxvk doesn't capture the screen when you save the game. It does display the screen if it was saved with WineD3D
dotnet35sp1 to launch the game
To fix Video errors, videos will play audio heard but screen is black: quartz klite
Better rename /data/shared/videos to skip videos or follow instructions from Dragon77 with Proton5
Proton-5.9-GE-2-MF GloriousEggroll

it has to be this Pre-Release version presumably because of this:
-Fullscreen hack is disabled still for compatibility with MK11.

Works perfectly
The game crashes failing to decompress the game assets in FCS.fcm, so you have to do it manually. After that you get a black screen so you have to use WineD3D.
21:9 resolution crops the top and the bottom either windowed or fullscreen (Maybe it's the same in Windows?)
To be able to lauch winsetup chdir to the part you want to configure To avoid setup change filter=stdscale to filter=Linear for better graphic quality and translation=English (default is french) in all 4 parts.
quartz amstream klite for playing videos in Sydney (green background shown) dgvoodoo2 for better graphics symlink to drive letter in dosdevices and entry in registry for cdrom registry settings for better graphic options and gamma (game is too dark) registry settings for resolution of 768 height (for Sydney to avoid email issues) and width that corresponds to the screen ratio for 768 height. Widescreen works in 16/9 and 21/9 (32/9 not tested but i don't see why it wouldn't work)
Tested with Proton-GE (also with wined3d) but has missing textures and changes desktop resolution, while it works perfectly with regular Proton.
GST_PLUGIN_FEATURE_RANK=protonaudioconverterbin:NONE %command%
No music
Launch options: cd hd && ./SotV1.exe %command%
I tried previously running ./hd/SotV1.exe but it did't work, you have to be in the directory. Also %command% serves no purpose but if i don't include it Steam launches it with default options.
Doesn't even open anything. Keeps it's process running in the background.

Digital Sound Initialization Error (Intel RSX 3D drivers are not installed) I made a custom verb for Protontricks in ProtonGE 8.12 to install RSX3d.
LAV Filters need to be installed for video to work correctly and editing the registry to avoid ffdshow compatibility manager popup:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GNU\ffdshow",'blacklist','REG_SZ','OVERSEER.EXE'
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GNU\ffdshow_audio",'blacklist','REG_SZ','OVERSEER.EXE'
DgVoodoo for textures, also made a verb to with these changes in [DirectX] section of dgvoodoo.conf:
Filtering = 16
KeepFilterIfPointSampled = true
Antialiasing = 8x
dgVoodooWatermark = false
Works with vanilla proton except for no cursor, or double cursor if you manage to change to custom cursor in options.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3d9=n" PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 gamescope -f -W 3440 -H 1440 -- %command%
This was a bit complicated, i guess because it's not made by a real engine (Not just Unreal, Unity or Godot. There are many good ones)
First to have the cursive font you need newer MS fonts, don't know the minimun i use ttf-ms-win11. But there is sometimes missing text, so i reverted to ttf-ms-fonts (Print font is also significantly more readable)
Then the garbled text had to fix it using both native d3d9 instead of builtin and WineD3D instead of VKD3D.
After that Fullscreen is smaller and not centered i "solved" that by running windowed with /NOF, but then i could solve it with gamescope setting width and height, also -f because i still had Gnome shell top bar.

Force Proton. Native support was removed, depot still there but unmantained. Proton works infinitely better.

Proton-5.8-GE-2-MF GloriousEggroll
Cutscenes are working with Proton-GE which includes Media Foundation.
