No issues at all.
Game runs good
Audio in cutscenes works since GE-Proton8-2
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=d" %command%
SDL_AUDIODRIVER didn't work for me (seems only some versions of proton work), then i saw someone that installed FAudio and it worked, i kept looking and just one override not to use builtin xaudio was the only thing needed from the winetricks verb.
Installed FAudio to have audio in cutscenes.

Edit file .../pfx/system.reg:
find section
[System\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Session Manager\\Environment]
add line
"SDL_AUDIODRIVER"="directsound"
Played GOG version with Proton 7.0-1 and editing pfx/system.reg

Fix audio in cutscenes:
- Open
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/105000/pfx/system.reg
in text editor - Find section
[System\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Session Manager\\Environment]
- Append
"SDL_AUDIODRIVER"="winmm"
Setting the same variable via launch options (as recommended in reports for older Proton versions) did not help.
Alt-Tab didn't work.
Crashed after the final cutscene of chapter 2. Skipping the cutscene helped.
To fix audio in cut-scenes go to "~/.steam/steam/steamapss/compatdata/105000/pfx". Open system.reg with an text editor. Find "[System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment]" key. Add a line "SDL_AUDIODRIVER"="winmm"
It's playable, but the lack of audio in cutscenes is a bit annoying
No audio in cutscenes. None of the previously mentioned tricks helped.
On protons prior to 5.13, the game wouldn't go back to full screen after alt-tabbing. After 5.13, this seems to be working.
The game is playable. You can complete the game and get 100% achievements, but i recommend to turn on subtitles causing audio missing.
Missing audio in cut scenes. Tried all tips from others reports, but nothing helped. In the Proton logs i found that probably ffmpeg is responsible for that crashes, and log error recommends to upgrade ffmpeg (it didn't help for me).
If alt-tab/minimize cannot recover to fullscreen.

The game works perfectly, the resolution works only in 4: 3 unfortunately!

Sound worked in random places, but not everywhere. Fixed by launching with SDL_AUDIODRIVER="winmm". Loading times also seem to be way too long for 2D point-and-click adventure, but I don't know if that's just the game or an issue with Proton

Game runs perfectly using Proton 3.16.4. I didn't need to use any tweaks or launch options. Cut-scene audio even works without using the tweaks mentioned below. Sometimes the beginning of a sentence would get cut off but it is an extremely minor issue. Only problem is that Alt-Tab doesn't work properly, but the game itself runs perfectly.

No sound in the intro. There is sound in the game.

For sound in videos please force Proton 3.16-4 for this game and add launch options 'SDL_AUDIODRIVER=winmm PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=40 %command%' There is no video sound volume slider in game and the external configuration tool does not work, but you can just edit the 'config.ini' in your game directory to suit your needs. Game runs perfectly after these tweaks.

If you have no audio in the cutscenes use the launch option "SDL_AUDIODRIVER=winmm %command%" and avoid using proton 3.16beta. The config tool needs .net4.0, but you can edit the file "config.ini" directly instead. It's located in ".../steamapps/compatdata/105000/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/Daedalic Entertainment/A New Beginning - Final Cut"

Videos works fine. Install MS Net 4.0 via protontricks (protontricks 105000 dotnet40)

messages.log threw some "21:20:44: Error: No more channel combinations to try, audio open failed" tried to fiddle around with sources and channels in OpenAL, without luck.

No audio for cutscenes for me also.

No audio in cutscenes, otherwise stable and playable.

No Audio in cutscenes (as with other games from Daedalic using Visionaire)

works great
