Runs perfectly out of the box. The game also has an option to run at 320x200 resolution, for anyone wanting to jump into the bold new world of VGA graphics.

Runs significantly better then expected. Game sticks to it's locked 60fps framerate easily.
No issues at all, Couch Co-op works fine with 4 players, though some performance degredation on the larger maps, though nothing unplayable

mangohud %command%
On a specific track, the shadows were not mapped correctly.
Tested with:
- Proton: 9.0-3
- Display server: Wayland
- Resolution: 3440 x 1440
- Input: mouse + keyboard, Nintendo Switch controller.

It runs fine.
I wasn't able to confirm if online races are working or not for lack of matchup.
thanks to proton the game feels native like you would play it on windows or console

It didn't want to start up on the newer proton 8, but switching back to 7.0-6 makes it work like a charm. Takes a second to start up but then its smooth.

A little slow to launch but just give it a minute. After that you'd never know it wasn't native.
Text is small but if docked then it's easier!
Two Dualshock4s played wonderfully. A bit small for couch coop on Steam Deck Screen, but good when docked to TV.
game work flawlessy
had four online matches, all went smooth as butter...
this game works absolutely flawlessy out of the box, just hit play and it's ready to go as if it was native...
Text is a bit too small to read on Deck
Title.
Runs with no issues.

Runs with no issue, idk why it is "unsupported".
Works great out of the box
Make sure to install some controller drivers like xpadneo
A bit too small on Deck but not too bad
Stunts are mapped to right touch pad instead of d-pad
Perfect compatibility, 60 fps, no slowdown, local coop without any issue. Issue with resolution when streaming to a steam link.
DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 %command%
Does not recognize the controllers, hence impossible to start a split-screen game
If one intend to play it by itself, it's working ; but as a social couch-game it's borked
DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 %command%
I had to use Proton GE and disable Steam Input to get controllers to work (it seems this game doesn't support Steam Input).
Some poor visual effects were fixed by installing Team Sonic Racing 3DFix.
I also capped the game to 60FPS with the launch option DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 %command%
because it would stutter otherwise (a problem also present on Windows).
Runs out of the box, though has some performance issues in odd places
Game runs very well, no tinkering needed - however even in the menu the CPU and GPU seem to get cranked up to 100% capacity for a reason I couldn't discern so far (I've heard of the same issue happening on Windows however, so this may just be the game itself being unoptimized). During races the problem seems to go away and performance stabilizes

Proton-6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Intro video wouldn't play without mf-install, however when it did play it was slowed down and the audio and video were out of sync.
Controller inputs didn't work at all without Proton GE. The controller I used was a Switch Pro Controller.
Online multiplayer appears to be completely dead, was unable to find a game and test it.
Works brilliantly, grand prix, timetrials, story, etc.
It literally just works. I didn't have to do anything, it just works.
The name tags above the racers heads would flicker side to side occasionally. Though, it didn't really bother me at all.
Cursor wouldn't vanish after playing with a controller like most games. Not sure if this is a Proton issue or not, but it's annoying.
Runs very smoothly
Works fine out of the box
65" 120hz 4K T.V. + Xbox wireless controller = Fun times!!!
Runs great! Used XOW for wireless xbox controller on TV had fun online!
Works out of the box, flawless with 2 player couch coop
Have been playing with my daughter in splitscreen and the game plays flawlessly using a pair of DUALSHOCK 4 controllers, both in Team and standard races. We've played around a bit with each modes without any issues together. I haven't tried with 3 or 4 players however, so I can't speak for that.
"It just works"
This has only happened once but the controllers stopped being detected and the game would not re-detect them until the game was restarted.
Definitive rate as platinum game , no issues at all
Game would crash loading races with latest proton versions. No crashes with proton 4.2-9. Online multiplayer works.
Game runs perfectly. Completed full campaign. Did not test multiplayer.
Game would pause for a few seconds on OSD events (e.g. volume change) and alt-tabbing.
Apparently there is an intro video that I missed because I didn't use mf-install, but the fact that I didn't even know that I missed it until I went to write this report shows that it's not crucial to enjoying the game.
I did not test multiplayer. I was able to create a lobby, but there were never any other players. I don't know if this was due to lack of people playing the game or some sort of Proton error.
Everything works perfectly fine, including Xbone controller support. 21:9 screen support also works as it should. Just install and enjoy it!
Inicial video doesn't play, but not that it is important to the gameplay.
Game does not even launch !

Expérience satisfaisante permettant d'apprécier le jeu mais encore imparfaite. Déja un grand pas pour le jeu sous linux
Quelques plantages rares entre 2 courses
Impossible de lancer le dernier niveau de la Carrière Solo > Crash
Works out of the box with no problems at all
No need for any arguments or smth else
- Intro video doesn't work, use mf-install to fix this
- Limited framerate to 60fps with a custom
dxvk.conf
file in the directory with the game's EXE (browse local files, it's the default directory) with this single line:dxgi.syncInterval = 1
- This is not required and is personal preference, but I like my games limited to 60fps
- Tested with Steam Controller
- Tested with Valve ACO
Game itself works perfect, including multiplayer, but needs mf-install to fix missing intro video
- Tested with Steam Controller
- Tested on highest settings
- Tested both single player and multiplayer, no issues to report
- Tested streaming to my phone with Remote Play Anywhere, no issues
- Set CPU governor to "Performance", through the likes of Feral GameMode, to improve performance further
- Did not test local multiplayer or Remote Play Together
- Game requires you to use
mf-install
to fix intro video, which isn't required by any stretch but it's a nice touch for perfect Proton compatibility - No one really plays online anymore, but if you do manage to get on, you won't be impacted by any kind of anti-cheat. The online racing worked perfect
Played on an Intel 620 graphics card. Expectations weren't high :)
Game works perfect with on-par performance to Windows, optionally requires mf-install for opening cutscene
Used mf-install to fix the opening cutscene not playing. This has no bearing on any other aspect of the game, as far as I am aware, but I have not played much of the game in general, let alone through Proton.

Game runs with near-native performance with all settings at max. Intro video doesn't play by default, but use "mf-install" to fix this (https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install), note that you DON'T need mf-installcab, the standard mf-install is enough to fix the intro cutscene. Follow the instructions on the README to install but it's essentially [WINEPREFIX="/path/to/library/folder/compatdata/78520/pfx" ./install-mf]. After that, you'll have your intro cutscene.
