Works well, didn't find any issue
The developers announced they will stop selling this game while they reimplement it in a new engine.
Game was closing right after launching without even getting to the main menu. Switched to Proton 7.0.6 because from other reviews it sounded like it had no problems before Proton 8, and it is working fine on 7.0.6.
It launches surprisingly slow considering it's a 2D game and only 3gb in size. It's not terrible but it is very noticeable every time you start it. I don't if that's because of Steam Deck, or if the game is just like that.
I was playing on the micro SD but I wouldn't expect that to be much of a factor for a game like this.
No issues, works great
Runs perfectly fine OOTB.
Multiplayer worked just fine.
Local multiplayer works fine.
Played in single player, online & local multiplayer and had zero issues. Game works flawlessly OOTB with no modifications necessary.
Runs fine
Could not test online, did not find plays
The initial loading screen doesn't work, but everything after that is fine.
Picked up my DS4 perfectly fine. Forgot when I set it to this version of Proton but it has been the one which has worked for me.
tl;dr You need to install wmp11 under a prefix created with proton 5.0-10.
- Delete the already existing prefix.
- Navigate to the location of your proton prefixes (I believe the default is ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata)
- Delete the game's prefix folder; 329490
- Change the version of proton the game is using to run.
- Properties>Compatibility>5.0-10
- Run the game.
- Run the game, it will start setting everything up.
- Once it's done, the game will launch. It should get stuck into a black screen. You can close it now.
- Install wmp11 in the new prefix
protontricks 329490 -q wmp11
- The command will install wmp11 in the prefix just created by the game.
- Launch the game
- At this point the game should work, it will show the stupid video logos that made it crash up to this point.
- Change the version of proton to your proffered one.
- You can just continue playing under version 5.0-10, or you can change the version of proton the game is using. I changed to the newest GE version since 5.0-10 wasn't recognizing my steam, ds4, or bone controller.
- As long as you DON'T DELETE the prefix, wmp11 should remain installed on it and you can change proton versions without issues.
- Enjoy your dumb waifu beat em up.
Blackscreen after start
trying several versions of proton, tinkering with steam parameters, still no luck.
Starts but hangs on loading screen.
I tried many versions of proton, but nothing i try works.
Switching between windowed and full screen crashed the game
Did not work in recent Proton, had to use 4.2.9
Switch to Proton 4.2-9 to play. Slightly wonky text, but everything else works. Could not find online match to test.
Menu text looks a bit garbled
Black screen, menu doesn't show up.
The game launches then... a black screen and nothing that i can about it apart from restart the system.
The only (slight) issue is the previously mentioned small lines above some of the menu text. It's all still perfectly legible and doesn't detract from the game. Performance is actually far better than on Windows for me.
Everything runs fantastic, as mentioned below there are very minor visual glitches in the menus, other than that it's practically flawless. Controllers worked out of the box.
The game has minor glitches with menu text, some very little bars in top of some letters, but that's all, everything else works great.
Requires no preconfiguration; this game will run perfectly out of the box.
Runs perfectly. Tested in Big Picture Mode with Steam Controller (Steam Overlay worked also).
no issues
Everything works perfectly. Game pads works out of the box.
