Works fine without any problems. From start to finish didn't encounter any problems.
After starting the game up no input is detected. Moving the game to a new desktop fixed the issue for me.
Game works fine and runs well, but when you first boot it up, your input won't be detected. I fixed this by moving the game window to another desktop. Don't know if it happens on other DEs. I tried only under Hyprland.
Borked. Does not read keyboard
With the latest GE-Proton I can start the game and see the cinematics, but when I arrive at the player cration screen, I cannot do anything as the game doesn not read the keyboard at all.
Tested this with the latest GE-Poton, Proton Experimental, Proton 8 and Proton 7. With Proton experimental the game loads, has visible framerate issues and cannot read keyboard input. With Proton 8 and 7, all I get is a black screen and I cannot do anything. Under 8 and 7 I cannot forcibly close the game with my global shortcuts.
I'm trying to run the game under Wayland. Don't know if it works under X11.
Works perfectly without any intervention
Was able to fully finish it. No problems whatsoever.
When switching to another application and then back the gold text becomes transparent gray which makes it barely readable. Sometimes the cursor also disappears.
Occasionally ty the game may crash but it is not that frequent.
Game runs fine for most part. It has some occasional crashes every now and then. Switching to another application creates a lot of problems. I would suggest saving, exiting and then relaunching the game. It saves you a lot of headaches.
Was able to fully finish it so it is playable.
I have not encountered any problems with the game whatsoever
Frame rate drops as soon as you enter the game. Just uncheck and check the V-Sync option in the menu and all should be good.
Game runs fine out of the box. No extra thinkering required. Finished the game without any issues.
Random FPS drops due to the V-Sync option in the menu. Just uncheck it and check it back if this happens. I usually play with V-Sync.
gamemoderun %command%
Running the game in fullscreen mode freezes the whole system
Gamemode helps stabilize the framerate and gives slightly better performance
Game might occasionaly crash without any warning
The game runs fine for the most part. The only real problem is fullscreen mode. In my case it freezes the whole system after a period of time. Tried it on both Arch Linux and Manjaro. On both these systems the system would freeze up. Might me a driver / compatibility problem on my part because the drivers for my hardware don't offer full Vulkan support.
Mostly playable
Gamma options don't work under Wayland. They work correclty under X11
Mouse didn't work until the sensitifity was set to it's max value
Fully workable under X11, but under Wayland it may have small issues. Mouse didn't work at all until I cranked it to the max, where it works as expected. Achievements are sometimes buggy. Played the full 14 hour campaign and finished it under X11.
Game is falsely flagged as Linux compatible. If you try to install it directly, it will only create the game entry in your library without and data. Force compatibility for the game to be able to play it.
I was able to fully finish the game. The game has a lot of problems but none are related to the compatibility layer.
Movies won't work with Proton Experimental. I switched to GE-Proton to work around this problem.
Works perfectly
Works as intended without the need of using any workarounds. Was able to fully finish the game without any problem.
Using the "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" launch options made the game slow down from about 120 FPS to about 25 FPS, but it wouldn't freeze anymore.
In the default DXVK mode, the game freezes the whole system after a while (ranging from a few seconds to doesens of minutes of gameplay).
Tried playing the game with default settings. After a while the whole system freezes. I tried it with Proton 7, 8, Experimental and GE. All of them have the same effect.
The only way I got it working is by using the "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1" command line option. The bad part is that by doing this my FPS dropped to 1/5 of what it was with DXVK.
At this point of time this game is pretty much unplayable for me.
Game always starts in windowed mode even if set to start in full screen. Forced full screen will fill the rest of the screen with black so you need to use the same resolution as your desktop to be able to properly play it.
When playing with both a gamepad and keyboard and mouse the game will stutter a lot when using the mouse, with about 20fps drops. Also, the camera may ocasionally drift until you restart the game.
Some graphics options will make the game run at 10fps instead of 60fps. Also due to the fact that full screen needs to be the same as your desktop, there is a toll on the game's performance.
Sometimes the game just dies. It happens rarely but it does.
Game works fine for the most part, but it has some issues overall (mentioned above). My suggestion would be to play it from start to finish using the keyboard + mouse combo, as the gamepad has some issues and some mini-games cannot be properly finished with the gamepad.
Could finish the game and all aditional content. Game may occasionally crash, so save after every mission.
Some screen thearing now and then. It doesn not occur al the time.
Controller can be enable by selecting it in the options menu. Mappings are bad by default and you cannot map the ESC key to the gamepad (so you cannot press the exit screen). Rumble is not detected even if present.
Game crashes when switching to another application but not immediately. If a certain time has passed, the game just renders a black screen.
The game is fully playable with Proton 8. GE-Proton 9 will work, but no videos will play.
Gamepad configuration is an issue and slight stability / performance issues. If you play with a gamepad you won't be able to bring out the exit menu as you cannot bind the ESC button to START and by default START won't do anything. After a while playing with the gamepad, the keyboard won't be detected at all, so your only option to quit the game is by using your distro's exit shortcut (like ALT+F4).
The game only works in 4:3 aspect ratio. People report modding the game to get it working in 16:9, but i didn't bother with it.
Game works fine without any problems. I was able to fully finish it.
With Proton Experimental, it works fine but without any videos. I used Proton-GE to work around that problem.
