


GOG version, used Lutris install script, default Wine-GE-8-26, runs without any issues, stable, fps very good.

Install d3dx9, mfc42 and msctf through protontricks. Older comments mention issues with sound, text and crashes but I haven't experienced any (using default proton version). However, it has very jarring frame drops when doing anything other than moving around with the game paused. Playable but not a good experience.

The game crashes immediately on the splash screen. I also tried various Proton versions including Experimental, current stable, and a few older versions to no avail.

Crash when launching successive tutorial/games
Description of many tools/events etc… are missing.

You need to install d3dx9, mfc42 and msctf with proton tricks in order to play. I've also found the game runs the best on Proton 3.7 rather than the latest version.

Sound does in fact crash the game. Needed to go to settings.txt and set master_volume to -1

tried used protontricks mentioned by previous reports but didnt work until I changed to 32bit arch. game works but there is no music.

Tried using D9VK but it crashes immediately

Shows white screen and crashes to desktop

Crashes almost immediately at startup regardless of whatever additional options you throw at it.


Tried disabling D3D11 and using Wine D3D, but none worked. Even followed some proposals from winehq and turned the sound volume to -1 and used d3dxof and msvcp60 as native libraries. Proton log file states a null pointer access while loading graphics, right after a warning that some effects could not be parsed.



Tried disabling esync, d3d11 and using wine d3d11, didn't help. Get to see a second of the loading screen load.
