I only hear audio, there's no video other than a solid color.

Switched Thermal Power Limit to 3
Just Change the Proton Version to Older 7.0.6

WINEDLLOVERRIDES=d3d8.dll=n,b %command%
The game runs fine right out the box from what I can tell, but FMVs play small without using the Soul Fixer patch, which is just a dll file that gets added into the game directroy. I had to add an override in the launch options to get the dll file to work properly, since registering it just wasn't working for whatever reason.

Changed few keys to fit better to my gameplay
Sometimes double click for glide wasn't noticed
I played the GOG version of the game and only needed to change to Keyboard + mouse layout and tweak the keybindings a little as the game doesn't support gamepad
Нюанс при первом запуске с разрешением и управлением

Movies aren't full screen
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Não possui modo janela
O jogo funciona de acordo. Mesmo meu hardwere ultrapassado faz com que ele rode bem. Pode acontecer instabiidade caso use resoluções diferentes de 1024x768. O comando PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% corride a instabilidade.
Works (with conditions), first story video+cut scene not crash
Game has no window mode. Alt-Tab hangs game.
If not restart game after change screen resolution.
Use original 4:3 aspect (1024x768), modern 16:9/16:10 aspects seems less stable.
Played with Proton 6.3-8.
May use params PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% if not stable after resolution change.
Out-of-the box settings are terrible, might be game-breaking in demanding parts of the game.
Missing trailing effects on attacks
Controls were very clunky until I disabled V-Sync
I had to skip the opening cutscene to prevent the game from crashing
The default config with v-sync on made controls super clunky/broken
The main menu and movies work just fine. It seems to hang while starting the game!

Works good
Played with Proton 5.0-7

The game works out of the box. The game suffers some minor stuttering issues once in a while, but nothing to worry about, the experience is great. The game uses the DINPUT API for the controllers, in order to avoid any issue I suggest to disable steam controller configuration and use a Dinput controller,not an Xinput one,in order to avoid input lag and camera issue.

Overall the game is playable, frame rate is a consistent 60fps, but the problem is that throughout the game there are many encounters with the game stuttering and freezing for about a few seconds. polygons from models will also heavily distort during some cutscenes, and sometimes during gameplay there will be artifacts.

As indicated here: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Legacy_of_Kain:_Soul_Reaver_2 this game doesn't play nice with CPUs with more than one core (this can be evidenced by playback errors in dialogs and recurrent minimal freezes of a couple seconds in the early game). Luckily, processes can be easily be contained to one core in Linux, so adding the line "taskset -c 0 %command%" (without quotes) in "Set launch options..." solves these issues. After this, the game is practically Platinum.

Played 21 hours. Everything works fine for maximum graphics settings. There is only one problem, sometimes it hangs for a couple of seconds in the main hall of the temple near the sarcaphag.
