WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version=n,b" %command%
Using the in-game FPS limiter causes mouse aim to be nearly unusable. It's like it's emulating a joystick or touchscreen so it feels inconsistent and the x and y axes seem to have different sensitivities. You can leave it uncapped or cap a different way like Mangohud. I finished 100% capped at 238fps that way. Luckily I didn't notice too many issues at high FPS. Seems to make a few sounds play too frequently (rain sounds sped up for example) and sometimes peds do a similar winded animation as the player does after sprinting but it didn't impact anything for me.
At one point I did install the Fusion Mod that skips the intro, adds the ability to quicksave anywhere, disables first person aiming for the M16, allows you to resize the HUD, and supposedly fixes a mouse aim issue but it was only fixed for me when I disabled the in-game FPS limiter as described above. This mod is the reason for the DLL override.
Error: Unable to launch game, please try reinstalling the game.

Runs as expected.
Games runs perfectly fine without any tinkering.

Minus the issues with Rockstar Social Club and cloud saves, the game runs smoothly.
Cloud Saves with the Rockstar Launcher will not sync
I've encountered no issues with GTA 3 when the cloud saves are disabled. However, when cloud saves are enabled, the game has issues connecting to the Rockstar Social Club. Because the game cannot connect to the Rockstar Social Club, I'm unable to resume the game from a cloud save with the Rockstar launcher.
If you don't mind disabling cloud saves for this game, then everything will run smoothly.

Games installs, fails to correctly launch Rockstar Games Launcher (Fedora 36 Linux based)
I'm using an older system with older specs. For whatever reason, the Rockstar Games Launcher will not start. A popup window will display with an error message: "The Rockstar Games Launcher failed to initialize! Please visit https://support.rockstargames.com for more information." Then, after clicking OK, another popup window: "Unable to launch game, please try reinstalling the game."

Works perfectly, the performance better than Windows
Works perfectly ouf of the box, just install and click the play button.

-dx12
mouse lags when aiming with built-in framelimiter enabled
Disable in-game framelimiter to avoid laggy mouse when aiming. If you need to limit FPS, do it via libstrangle or Mangohud, its much better.

gamemoderun %command% -dx12
Works great at 4k. Between 110-144fps on my 7900xtx maxed out but visual quality set to high instead of ultra. 100% completed the game without issue. Use -dx12 for about 5-10% better performance.
RADV_PERFTEST=gpl gamescope -w 2560 -h 1440 -W 3840 -H 2160 -F fsr -- gamemoderun mangohud %command%

Works out of the box, with just a few annoyances with the Rockstar Games Launcher and Social Club now and then
mangohud gamemoderun gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -f -r 60 -o 30 %command%
The Rockstar Games Launcher sometimes takes time to connect to Social Club on launching the game. Apart from this, the only other bugs I've encountered are the ones inherent to the definitive edition across all platforms.
NOTE: The specified launch options are completely optional.

RADV_PERFTEST=gpl gamemoderun mangohud %command% -dx12
All worked fine at [80- fps] frametime was stable also. Played some missions so far no crashes or slow downs. Recommend to play
Haven't tested nivida gpu becuase i don't own one. Also didn't try dx11

PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 gamemoderun %command% -dx12
Game may sometimes stutter.
The game worked very well for me with a 120FPS lock with the following launch arguments. This was to enable DLSS support as well as enabling feral gamemode and forcing the game to launch in DX12, which provides better performance over DX11 in my experience. Anyone using these launch options on an NVIDIA card should experience no trouble running the game.
Works like a charm right out of the box.
Similar to San Andreas and Vice City DEs, loading in high poly models from the low poly LOD ones takes a while. Most noticeable during stunt jumps and/or flying.
Achieved 100% in this title as with all the other 3 GTA-DE games with ~50 hours of playtime across all the games. Absolutely stellar work by R*.
gamemoderun %command%
20-40 fps very low settings on FHD
I've limited FPS and TDP
Probably needs internet access due to rockstar launcher
Seems to work fine now
Had an issue where the rockstar launcher would not connect previously, this seems to have sorted itself out now
Justed installed the game and doesn't had any problems. So for me it worked OOTB. I get around 100-144 FPS on Max Settings 3440x1440.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command%
I've added PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 for DLSS to work but game works fine without it, I'm using proton experimental.
FPS Drops down to 30 from 60. Was fixed by lowering Car Reflections to Planar (Low Detail).
Works perfect out of the box, but i expect the rockstar game launcher will be a problem in the future, like it is always
The rockstar launcher can't connect
The rockstar launcher can't connect making it impossible to get into the game
