Some controls (particularly movement and jump keys) require remapping via the options menu

Launches fine in desktop mode but not in gaming mode.
I've played this game a ton any every system I own, it runs without any issues and I've even configured it to use the surround sound...
I have to say this game is rough, it's a favorite but old and broken as heck on 720p except on the Deck.
I did adjust the UI scaling which made the menus look perfect, as well as changing the in game keyboard controls to use WASD instead of arrows. After I was done it looked and felt made for the device. Also ran on OpenGL but after initial setup I've managed to play it a lot without issue.
Couldn't focus the window with any Proton version (aside from Proton 6.3-8).
Occasional dropped frames
Could not open menus.
It works, but DO NOT Alt-Tab.
Windowing was completely screwed after hitting Alt-Tab ONCE.
This only happened in the menus, during gameplay everything was fine.
Crashes when changing color depth, or when trying to open map list.
Perfect. Select OpenGL during the installation of the game
Windows mannager have it rough when sizing some games. This is one of them but is not big deal, if you happen to screw up (like me) on first boot the screen and open the game in the same workspace that Steam is, the game screen most likely will be cut in half.
Quick Solution is to change to another workspace before the game boots. It will fix permanently so it's one in a time thing.
As with Unreal Tournament 2004, the game refuses to boot from an external disk for whatever reason resulting in error 0x02. Put it in your main drive and it should be good to go.

Set "UseDirectInput=True" in /Unreal Tournament/System/UnrealTournament.ini This removes mouse acceleration.
Alt-Tab or minimizing the program will break mouse capture. The game will still play properly, but the system cursor will be visible on top of the game screen.
A much better out of the box experience than modern Windows. The game runs at the correct speed on a 240hz monitor.
Mouse input is still somewhat delayed but completely acceptable, probably due to Vsync. I suspect additional config tweaks or a different renderer could improve things.
It installed and played perfectly, which I don't always have as good of an experience on Windows. OpenGL drivers are the best option.

It launches and plays, but the fact that all the characters and AIs move on turbo mode makes it almost impossible to play.
Various parts of the game run too fast, such as AI and character movements. Music and menu animations all work as normal.
AIs and Characters move too fast.
Perfect
Taking screen shot with steam hot key F12 forces game into windowed. Steam doesn't capture screenshots either. Need to alt+enter to maximize and alt+tab to go back to the game with the correct pointer context
Game ran fine when forced to Proton 6.3.7.
Had to click the taskbar icon to enter fullscreen
Had to use OpenGL renderer, EAX works with DSOAL
Everything works perfectly out of the box.
Game runs fantastic out of the box. Framerates are insanely high as expected. Ran straight out of the box no issues.
Make sure to select openGL as your renderer when the game first starts up. Also tips: since this is an older game stick to 720p and set your networking to LAN.
Runs even better with OpenGL, even on my potato PC
Won't launch.
Run as same as Windows environment
Make sure set rendering device to OpenGL in initial run or in game prefarences.

Existing the game, resets all of my opened windows. Same with Alt-Tab
I get only up to 17 FPS with or without the enhanced OpenGL Renderer

Make sure you choose the OpenGL graphics API during initial setup.
I recommend downloading the enhanced OpenGL renderer from here: https://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/ This is optional, but is recommended even on Windows, and makes the graphics smoother on modern GPUs.
Highly recommended OpenGL renderer: http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/ (a new version that can replace the old one with great Full HD support)

Proton-4.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
No issues.
With Nvidia GPU the game runs too fast, changing renderer to software fixed the problem.

Single player, multiplayer works flawlessly, even on my potato hardware.

Runs perfectly, but use the updated OpenGL renderer found here https://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/ drop the .dll file into the game's system directory and make sure you switch to the OpenGL renderer.

I experienced no issues at all running in Direct3D mode. Played mutliplayer on a few custom maps.

Working perfectly out of the box.

No issues for me; Flawless performance.

I tested a random map, reminds me a lot of how it worked on windows 10 years ago. Beautiful

tested with opengl. The game runs perfectly, but I had mixed results playing online. A couple servers booted me immediately, but another worked fine. Also the video got messed up when I tried setting a 21:9 resolution in fullscreen.

Runs well with OpenGL. Multiplayer works, but only without anti-cheat, so you will get kicked from most servers.

I didn't test Alt-Tab, but I played several games with no issues.

Only need how to add patch to this game but run very goods

Everything but alt-tab works fine. Seriously, surround works really great on a 5.1 system. The DirectX setup wizard at the beginning is a bit annoying, though. Multiplayer is generally broken due to ACE v0.8 anti-cheat detecting that the kernel32.dll has been modified...

Character runs way too fast when using nVidia GPU, game works fine on Intel GPU or when changed to software rendering mode.

After starting a match menu controls stop spawning
