Works out of the box
Two or three voice lines in the entire game didn't play while the characters mouths were moving in higher speed, I think it's a game bug and not exactly Proton related
Game window freezes when selecting the Exit Game option, requiring the game to be stopped from Steam
Works out of the box as it would in the originally targetted OS

Fully working, except for the subtitles problem that should be unrelated to Proton.
Oftentimes the last part of the subtitles is missing. I don't think this has anything to do with Proton.

Doesn't support steam deck's native resolution. Have to play at 1280x720. Other than that I didn't have any issues.
Runs well on medium settings

Controls were not responding after resuming the game from sleep
Best to play a section game and complete it instead of resuming from sleep mode

The issues I ran into playing were issues with this remaster in general, game runs good and looks good.
Game can run at 9 Watts at 60fps, I set it to this personally, though you can go even lower and get fine performance.
The Remaster is honestly, not that great. I only played the last part of Episode 3 on here but the remaster just has times where the audio just straight up cuts out or is completely missing. If you have the original get it, if you got the Remaster through a bundle like True Colours, I recommend playing the remaster rather then rebuying the game.

Capped @ 40Hz and 40FPS.
Some far-off text was illegible, solved by moving closer.
FPS dropped to below 20FPS everytime something was moved. I believe this to be cause by physics objects. (?)
Worth playing, give it a try.
Using the default Proton Experimental, I encountered long freezes at a couple of different points. These were consistent points between different sessions, and seemed to line up with loading new areas. They would persist for several minutes, but the game would eventually continue.
Since switching to ProtonGE, I've had no issues. At least none that aren't present on Windows natively.
If Square Enix is as serious as they sound about conitnuing to patch this game, it'll be an all-around great experience. Until then... play the original.
At the end of each chapter I had to zoom in for the post episode info
During episode three I expierenced a LOT of weird graphic texture issues. I had to restart the game to get rid of that.
Especially during chapter 3 it crashed a couple of times.
During chapter 3 I experienced a lot of T-posing during cruical scenes
After Episode 2 for some reaosn the game wouldnt' load. I had to switch to GE 7.24 in order to play. This really wasn't a good remaster
Handwriting in the journal.
The only issues found are inherent to this awful remaster.
Works the same as on Windows, almost unplayable because of all the bugs
Game after the most recent update is even buggier than when it launched. Lots of animations are missing, t-poses, levitating characters and graphical glitches.
The game is riddled with bugs, but non that are specific to Linux so I didn't add them here
This game doesn't suffer from any of the issues I experienced in the Life is Strange Remastered, which is nice
