Completed the game with no issues.

During the last 2 hours of the game, plenty of stuttering when pressing pause to look at the in-game menu
Completed game without issues

Works perfectly out of the box
Played the whole game (Singleplayer, DX12, Raytracing). No need to install anything manually.
Playable without problems
Works out of the box again with current version of the game and Proton
v1.10 of the game works on current Proton now out of the box on a fresh install. Manually installing Microsoft Virtual C++ Runtime is no longer needed.

Crashes at alunch with an error.
Unplayable since latest game update. tried Proton 7.0-5 and experiemntal.
protontricks 1194630 vcrun2019
The game fails to launch unless you install MS C++ Runtime (vcrun2019)
Example on how to do this using flatpak:
flatpak install flathub com.github.Matoking.protontricks
flatpak override --user --filesystem=/mnt/MySSD/SteamLibrary com.github.Matoking.protontricks
flatpak run com.github.Matoking.protontricks --no-bwrap 1194630 -f -q vcrun2019
note: Replace the filesystem path with the path to your steamlibrary. The vcrun install step sometimes fails for unknown reasons, adding those extra options made the install more reliable.
Works without any issues.
I just beat the game from start to finish finding random premonitions here and there just to confirm they work. Had zero issues with any playback. I played this with my Steam Deck Dock (from JSAUX) so it was basically charging the entire time. But without that, and messing with no settings, I'd get about 2.5 hours of battery time for it which imo is plenty.
Game worked amazingly, 10/10.
Starting a new game and continuing that playthrough was fine
I was able to continue a game, and start a new game. Loading a game from one of my save slots would lead to a perpetual loading screen.
Runs like native.
This whole series is excellent. If you love games like Detroit: Become Human and you love horror movies, you'll love these
Disable Wifi
I tried all the tips and tricks, I tried different Proton builds and Proton-GE, I tried all the startup scripts, nothing worked. No matter what I did it would run HORRIBLY, stuttering and hiccuping and eventually getting to about 1fps. Someone suggested disabling Wifi on Man of Medan...and guess what. That works! On both games. After disabling wifi it runs like a dream.
Works perfectly out of the box with both Proton, Proton Experimental or Proton GE 7-24
Game ran as expected, I only used the launch options because of the Man of Medan in the series needing them.
PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 gamemoderun %command%
The game ran as expected I only put the launch options because of Man of Medan needing them. I only tested with GE and not the standard because I Find it easy to keep the games on the same edition of Proton.
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
In the cementary the bushes were glowing strangely. Looked a bit distracting, but could also be intended by the developers of the game.
Directly after loading a level the game hitched sometimes for a quarter of a second. Not really a problem but slightly distracting.
The performance of this game is awsome on linux. Therefore you might want to use downsampling if you have a high-end GPU:
- run 'xrandr' in the console and note how xrandr calls your display. For me it is 'DisplayPort-0'
- use the following arguments for steam: 'xrandr --output DisplayPort-0 --scale 2 && gamemoderun mangohud %command% && xrandr --output DisplayPort-0 --scale 1'. Replace DisplayPort-0 by what you noted before and adjust --scale 2 to your hardware. You can do 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 or 2.
Works flawlessly. No issues.

Proton-6.19-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Runs perfect with Proton-6.19-GE-2.
only playing single player. Now have played for about 4 hours, all on Fedora 34. Works great!
playing single player only, about 2 hours in running default proton settings and everything is running great.

Lost quite some hours of my life with trying
Checked ProtonDB to get the known working versions. Didn't even start. (Proton 5.13-6, Proton Experimental, Proton 6.3-2) Tried on ArchLinux, neither Steam-Native nor Steam-Runtime got me further than Steam pretending it "is running". Even the just "silver" rated predecessor got farther. Wasn't running either, but at least I was able to adjust settings in the main menu of that game. Enlighten me...with a "Platinum" rating, shoukd I not expect to just start the game and play?
Played through whole game without issues
Played through entire game with default Proton. All cut scenes, premonitions and bonus videos worked. The only thing that did not work was a short trailer video (displayed just a black screen, it is the same Bink2 codec as all the other videos, so maybe broken on Windows too).

5.9-GE-8-ST GloriousEggroll
I used GloriousEggrolls's Proton-5.9-GE-8-ST to play, and it worked perfectly
