There was frequent slowdown. It could be due to my laptop's hardware, but it was laggier than I would expect for a game of this nature.
The game would occasionally crash, particularly in areas with a lot going on. It happened maybe 5-8 times throughout the game.
With default configuration, Vessel crashed on Alt-Tab. This is fixable with this tweak:
env WINEPREFIX=<STEAM_PATH>/steamapps/compatdata/108500/pfx winecfg
Go to the Graphics tab and enable "Emulate a virtual desktop"
When the game was minimized, Vessel's custom mouse cursor flickered over my system mouse for around a minute until the game simply crashed. The tweak mentioned above also fixed this.
Sometimes crashes if you open the Steam overlay during the startup loading screen - avoid doing this and you should be fine (the overlay works fine otherwise)
Game works on Proton out of the box. I installed manually D9VK and it worked as well fine with this DX9 to Vulkan translation.
The game works well. But Alt+Tab or exit the game crashed my machine and I had to reset (probably a driver issue).
