Not Fullscreen by default with no settings, however can use Plasma to fullscreen.
Originally had issues with browser not openning to authorise with Epic, leading to black screen. Logging in again in Heroic resolved this.
Игры шли идеально из коробки и все были пройдены полностью.
Игры идут замечательно из коробки. Все игры пройдены полностью, все достижения получены.
Enable steam input for ps5 controllers
PS5 controller needed steam input enabled
Installs but doesnt launch. Crashes immediately after clicking on "Play" in Steam.
Works great
Working just like it would on windows
Kill DXSETUP.exe
The game hangs on first run waiting for DXSETUP.exe to finish but it never does. Simply kill that process using something like System Monitor and then the game will launch and work from that point on.
For whatever reason when I first installed the game nothing would work, it would crash every time you tried to launch it or get stuck on the "launching" screen where nothing would happen. I verified integrity several times to no avail as well as try various things mentioned on other entires on this page to no avail. Then just deicded to uninstall and reinstall it and that worked. Not sure if this is a common problem or not but evven if verify integrity succeeds it might be worth uinstalling/reinstalling if it isn't working for you like when I tried.
works great out of the box
gamemoderun %command%
Heavy screen tearing on occasion
Works as it should with default Proton
Previous Proton versions had issues with saves, but I was able to play Bloodlines using the save and load options.
Works out of the box
Sometimes the game only uses around 80% of the monitors vertical resolution.
Save feature used to be borked but they fixed it a while back.
Crashes immediatly on launch.
Crashes immediatly on launch. It looks like a windows attempts to open, but it is closed immediately. I've tried different versions of GE and regular proton, as well as various launch options. Nothing helps.
Plays perfectly
6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Had to use alt+enter
I saved and loaded many times to make sure and haven’t had any problems, at least on my end
6.20-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
GloriousEggroll
The new GE release lets save/load work, but sometimes it will still crash.
Improvement, but saving still crashes
Game crashes when trying to save
6.3-7 still crashes when trying to save. With older Proton versions the game crashed when opening additional menus... Now you don't need to be constantly aware of pressing wrong controller button to avoid crashing.
The game crashes upon saving.
Game crashes in the menu when saving your game. Attempting to open any other menu intermittently triggers the infinitely looping Japanese text error mentioned in other reports.
Used PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% (non vulkan compatible hardware)
Everything is fine besides the option menu
Alt+Enter
Trying to load an state crashes the game with a japanese text saying something like "Error?"
Everytime you want to change the aspect ratio/put a background/exit the game it shows the japanese text again.
The option menu is somewhat broken, it doesn't let you do basic actions such as exit your game or change the aspect ration of each game.
Everything besides is fine, still annoying though.
Game still crashes when trying to save savestates or settings.
Game crashes when attempting to use savestates or save settings.
Needs the save game bug fixed to be usable.
Game crashes when trying to save or loops endlessly on a strange black modal with Japanese text
When played at normal speed the game is fun. We need to see a speed run of it run at 10x speed.
Using my dedicated amd gpu caused the game to run at 10x speed. When I switched to the onboard Intel graphics it played normally. Adding the "PROTON_USE_D9VK=1" to the launch options caused the game to play at normal speed on the amd gpu.
Game loops with a japanese message box when attempting to access the disk. I will be working on attempting to fix that next.
Playable but have your note/text editor open for password annotation since save game does not work.
I had to use Steam Game Control Settings and map Z(Jump), X(Whip), A(Jump), S(Whip), W(Item), 1(Menu) and Enter(Pause).
Game would crash if attempting to save. Will have to rely on old school password notes.
Sometimes the Menu will give you some Japanese text and loop you.
Gets stuck in an infinitely looping textbox at the start.
FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE looks like it works, but it only pushes the textbox back to after you start a game.
Initially I had a number issues with getting spammed by a Japanese error message, but this seemed to be resolved with Large Address Aware. However, the game cannot save to disk without crashing, and I'm not sure how to fix it. If you were willing to play without saving, it works perfectly well.
Initially, I kept getting a Japanese error message sporadically, which image-translated to "F?". Otherwise it ran great.
This sounded suspiciously similar to "file", so I enabled "Large Address Aware" and have successfully completed the first level of Castlevania I without issue. If I run into the problem again in the future, (since I'm planning on barn-storming all of these classics), I'll update this review.
It's also worth metnioning that I could barely start the game and get past the menu with Proton 4.2-9 before getting that message; 4.11-6 is much more agreeable. For those not yet in the know, the launch options are "PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command%".
On 4.11-1, the games run at normal speed and are playable...but it seems like any sort of writing to disk such as replays and save states will crash. Playable otherwise.
Game runs totally fine bar two issues; saving crashes the game and occasionally you get locked into an infinite repeating textbox appropos of nothing
The menus start up and run fine. But all the games seem to run at over 3X speed. The menu to quit a game and go back to the selection also doesn't show fully, only a box header in Japanese.
