I had screen tearing and very obvious frame pacing issues.
Crashes on Mission load for some maps.
Launcher and main menu work fine. Crashes while loading Miami and Sapienza among others consistently crash at around 80% load. Interestingly Hawke's Bay and Santa Fortuna start up fine. Miami both crashes when loading a Mission and when trying to Benchmark the game.
Originally I plugged in my Brook universal Fighting Board and it auto detected Linux and started in Direct input mode. This mode does not work with this game because for some reason LT and RT just don't work. When I force Xbox mode with the controller Steam compatibility takes over and my Arcade sticks work fine.
Considering the specs of my computer I wouldn't expect any performance issues for a 2D fighter, yet with some maps I experience slowdown, which doesn't seem right. Since I only really play with friends we can just avoid those maps and everything is fine. I also noticed some amount of screen-tearing that I don't get in windows.
Overall it's a good experience but it still needs some ironing even though it has a Platinum rating.
Proton 7.0 causes crash. 6.3-8 works fine
It crashed on the Steam Deck, which I found confusing as I had it run on my PC (Pop_OS!) before. Turns out the game doesn't work with the new Proton 7 version. Forcing Proton 6.3-8 makes the game work on the Deck. Volvo pls fix.
Performance was hindered, but with enough performance overhead it runs well enough
Game hitched at some places. Considering my computer is quite overkill for this game it might be an issue for others.
Game ran fine in borderless windowed mode. Experienced some slowdown while using the rest of the OS while having the game in the background.
Game seems to run, but controllers don't work.
I tested DS5, DS4, 8Bitdo SN30Pro, Brook Universal Fighting Board (tested in XBOX360, XONE, PS4, DI modes). Controllers are picked up by linux appear and can be tested through jstest-gtk and work with outher games.
Like with DSIII I think I would rather take the minute to boot into windows than play this game for an hour with frame pacing issues.
Similar to my DSIII report I had screen tearing, very bad frame pacing and generally a much power framerate than what I have on windows natively.
