Ran absolutely perfect on a second playthrough.
Decided to replay this gem of a game in 2025. 17 hours of buttery smooth gameplay with nothing to complain about. Runs pretty much perfect.
Game worked perfectly out of the box

mangohud gamemoderun %command%
When inactive, the game will come out of full screen and be a black screen. Re-full screening it, fixes it.
The game runs well out of the box; Does not need tinkering to get working.
The only annoyance I came across is that when alt-tabbing, or making the game become inactive otherwise, the game will come out of full screen and become fully black. Not a dealbreaker though, since you can just force the game to back into full screen, and it will fix itself.

Perfect
External audio settings (pulse, pipewire etc) reset between boots

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
O Jogo tinha ficado com um bug grafico onde a tela ficou com uma parte preta mais de pois de colocar o codigo de inicialização funcionou completamente normal.

无法打开 not work
尝试了更换Proton全部版本,尝试通过其他Wine分支,尝试过关闭和开启ESync,尝试过仅DX9,均无法打开 have tried all versions of Proton, other Wine branches, turning ESync on and off, and DX9 only, but none of them work.
Game seems to have a double-vsync so will lock to 30fps when SteamOS is set to even 60fps cap, so you need to remove the cap entirely from SteamOS else the game will run at half speed.
中文会有点乱码,但是影响不大
need Steam Input enabled to make controller detect correct input if using DualShock 4
Use Proton 6 will work properly, newer version would crop window size. Use wayland supported window manager to solve graphics tearing
Animation speed is tied to framerate so disable the Steam Deck frame limiter or keep it at 60 FPS.
some word cann't be seen, such as the setting's word

The game does not run at all without following these instructions to enable Esync: https://github.com/lutris/docs/blob/master/HowToEsync.md
Requires Esync compatibility
Works a treat once Esync is enabled!
Game ran fine in borderless windowed mode. Experienced some slowdown while using the rest of the OS while having the game in the background.
Works flawlessly other than a small bug when tabbing out
Tabbing out (via windows key or alt+tab) often causes the game to become a black screen until you close the game. Sometimes, you can still play in this state, but other times, the game stops processing inputs and I assume it has crashed. The game frequently autosaves, so this is really just a minor annoyance.
Runs perfectly
Worked perfectly fine with Proton 6.3-4

Proton-6.1-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Does not load unless you increase the maximum amount of file descriptors. Afterwards, works perfectly.
This does not work. See "Customizations" for alternative solution.
Edited /etc/security/limits.conf
(details)
Void (as well as many other distos, like Gentoo and Fedora) has a lower maximum file descriptor limit than Debian and its derivatives. If your game exits with the error eventfd: Too many open files
in the terminal, even when enabling the launch parameter PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1
, follow these instructions. Doing so solves this problem for other games as well.
After doing this, I was able to run the game without any issues on default settings (Proton Experimental, no launch parameters). Played about two and a half hours, spanning most of the last two DLC chapters and a Workshop map.
Everything was working fine using proton 3.16. Played with a DualShock 4 controller without troubles. No launch options used
Actually using some of the options described here degraded performances, but without any launch option the game worked fine. I used options because the game wouldn't launch at first, Gentoo requiring a manipulation to get it to work (because of IIRC some parameters that are configured differently in Gentoo compared to other distros). It's been quite a while so don't remember the exact problem but it was easy to fix.
Works fine, like on Windows. Playing with DS4 through Steam.

Won't open at all after upd to Proton 5.0
Tried all tricks below, nothing was changed Works flawlessly in Proton 4.11

Game isn't playable for me. Massive lag spikes.
Massive lag spikes. Game is not playable like this.
Add "-PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 -dx9" to your launch options and make sure everything is set up properly
-dx9
videomemorysize=default
Also -dx9, otherwise game didn't boot up.
Lag spikes
Worked flawlessly, even the artbook DLC. Tested with both WiiU Gamepad and mouse/keyboard controls.
Used alsa sound driver.
Requires inputting "-PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 -dx9" into the launch options in the game's Properties tab to run properly.
Game fails to boot up without D3D11 disabled, and freezes entirely without Esync disabled.
I set the launch options through the Set Launch Options button in the game's settings tab on Steam

The game ran well out of the box.

Runs great, no issues at all!

It seems to work fine, except that keyboard input is VERY broken and is unplayable

Did a 100% playthrough of the base game, and had no problems with it once Esync was disabled. Game wouldn't start up without it.

Unexpected crashes (especially when switching to other window or desktop) in fullscreen mode, remember to save frequently. Rare sprites flickering and glitching. Barring that, game runs perfectly.

Runs almost perfectly with disabled Esync. The only problem i noticed was little flickering for some textures.
