Actual gameplay perfectly stable. Minor issues like crackling close to tank engines (bass issue?). Otherwise, excellent.
Proton-6.21-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Sometimes missing textures if alt-tabbing. People's skin go purple.
Regards to modding: With arma3-unix-launcher it's good and workshop integration is good. But slightly more tricky to mod outside of workshop. Could be improved though. Purple skin on people if alt-tabbing for a little bit.
If you previously used settings in start up params. REMOVE THESE. Only keep --launcher-skip
Works fine after removing start up parameters.
alt-tabbing causes the sound to continue but gets black screen and needs restart.
runs great, impressively optimized game.
Amazing game, and runs amazingly
rare crashes, seems to be same as windows (3 in 24 hours)
A lot of flickering on the map. After going to restroom and back while in map screen highlights of the map got stuck on my screen. Had to restart computer (even shutting game down didnt help) to fix it. A huge problem for people with photosensitivity/epilepsy. Luckily, I dont have it so it's just minorly uncomfortable.
Let someone else test the 'map screen' before playing if you have seizure issues to make sure your computer does not have this bug.
flicker in map view for some reason, sometimes, can cause issues for photosensitive people
there's two audio channels/outputs. one for cutscenes and one for the game itself. if you want to adjust volume with pulseaudio you'll have to change both. not actually an issue though
janky game, but not more janky on linux :)
had to change resolution in ini file, before I got a mod for that
game is very janky and really requires mods to be enjoyable in 2022. workshop version (from properties -> beta -> workshop) makes an easy way to install the "necessary" mods
Amazing game that runs amazing on linux.
In some cutscenes when Tak is talking on the phone, you need to limit your frame rate to 30 (maybe 60 havent tried). Otherwise it will likely crash. Save often before main story events! You can turn up the FPS when not expecting a cutscene.
Occational crashes that can be circumvented. Lower FPS limit to get past these issues, or skip directly when the cutscene starts if that doesn't work. Works well in all other regards though.
You probably need a fixed fps to avoid the janky physics. But I enjoyed it without that fix :)
One of the most underrated games of all time, and it works flawlessly on linux.
