I only walked around for a few minutes but the videos play without issue and game seems to work fine. Adding this report as it seems to be lacking.
Further testing maybe wise.

sometimes the background looked a little 'gitchy', snowy mountains where white-washed. Possibly due to older GPU?
Launching the game from Steam (due to Origin) can be a bit of a pain, but once you know what to do it 'works'.

Ping doesn't show in Multiplayer servers - this isn't an issue itself but most servers kick you for this, making MP unplayable.
Steam claims the game is 'Running' but after 30 seconds or so stops, nothing launches.
Singleplayer will not launch but multiplayer seems to run flawlessly.
Works well, no issues noticed after 2+ hours of gameplay.
Alt-tabbing isn't recommended as upon tabbing back in the game failed to pick up you're back in game - claims you're alt tabbed when you're not.
Seems to run out of the box (<15 minutes played but will be playing more). Manjaro Linux.
Alt-tabbing caused/causes serious issues with GFX. Could be because of i3wm but either way save before you tab out!
The screen 'doubles' but you're only able to play in a half window. Don't Alt-Tab.

Using the above patch above I was able to play the game, once downloaded and extracted run;
WINEPREFIX="/YOUR/STEAM/PATH/steam/steamapps/compatdata/961620/pfx" ./mf-install.sh
have corefonts installed (unsure if they're necessary but they are installed). Singleplayer tutorial level played without issue and multiplayer tutorial played without issue.
'SELF-RADIO' doesn't work, audio crackles after several hours of play (reset fixes this) otherwise both singleplayer and Online seem to work very well.
(Would be interesting to see if others have the same issue with 'Self-Radio' not working).
BE WARNED!!!!!
THIS GAME WAS WORKING FLAWLESSLY UP UNTIL 09-01-2019 AN UPDATE FROM ROCKSTAR HAS KILLED ONLINE PLAY FOR PEOPLE PLAYING ON LINUX.
SINGLEPLAYER WORKS JUST FINE BUT GTA:V CRASHES WHEN CONNECTING TO ONLINE.
THIS IS NOT JUST ME, CHECK OUT /R/LINUX_GAMING AND /R/STEAMPLAY
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME OR INSTALL IT IF YOU ONLY WANT TO PLAY ONLINE.
(UNTIL THERE IS A FIX)
while the strace
method for getting online works, the game (for online at least) will randomly 'lock up' after a certain time.. most of the time it locks up from within 5 to 10 minutes, other times it'll be fine for hours.
I cannot figure out what is causing the crash, as it happens at seemingly random times. For example, once when I was looking at the 'Warstock' website, another time as I was finishing a race and another while starting a heist, it locks up in freemode too.
Quite odd as IIRC this was working fine late last year?
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
Game loads in okay but fails to load area/world (significant texture streaming issues). Shortly after leaving the spawn area the game locks-up and crashes. (This applies to both single-player mode and online mode). The interaction menus and pause menus have also stopped working. Lastly, changing areas (ie, going from outside to inside a building etc) can cause the game to softlock.
This is almost certainly due to the recent update (released on the 26/07) as the week before I was playing this game with no issue.
(as above)
Interstestingly going by GitHub (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/37) there are some who have had the same issues, while others apparently are unaffected. This is NOT limited to the brand of GPU.
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
Texture degredation.
Attempting to open interaction menu makes the game lock up
game locks up
game either locks up when attempting to open interaction menu or eventually texture degredation is so significant it becomes unplayable. The game will almost always end in it freezing.
Used to work no problem, now it's impossible to play.
140 character limit prevents me from using this efficiently so.....
For some reason, whenever I play I can zoom in and pan the camera to the right but am unable to zoom out or pan the camera left. Making it somewhat impossible to play.
Several mouse issues.
Couldn't get past RockStars aggressive DRM (stuck on Initializing) otherwise it looks like it work would fine..
Launches dosbox, then crashes.
Not sure how the others got it working so well, crashed every time for me.
The error said:
"Exception Raised - Access Violation
Error location: Windows Display Driver."
As another user suggested adding "__GL_ExtensionStringVersion=17700 %command%" to the launch options got the game to launch.
Black screen. Can hear cutscenes/movies but cannot see anything from launch.
I've tried a few of the listed workaround and suggestions listed on the ProtonDB page but none seem to work.
While the game ran and played without issue I could not get my microphone to work on it.
I tested the microphone to ensure it was plugged in and working (which it was) but my options ingame were either "pulse audio" or "pulse audio (default)" neither of which enabled me to talk to others.
It is because of this issue I'm giving it Broze and not Silver or Gold as talking in this game is pretty much 80% of what you do.
