mangohud %command%
Use MangoHud to limit the FPS to 30. Additionally, you can play at resolutions higher than 1280x960 but the cutscenes will be off center.
Added keys to buttons that aren't there by default. Details in description of the community lay-out.
Default size is readable, but small.
Gamespeed is coupled to framerate. The more FPS, the faster the game runs. Choose 50fps in the Steam-performance menu in the game-specific configuration. That's the right speed.
- Use touchscreen on the initial launcher screen.
- Choose native 1280x800 resolution in the game launcher.
- Lower FPS to 50 in the Steam performance menu for the correct speed.
- Costumize controls or choose community lay-out.
- Kick imperial butt.
the game runs way to fast, making the on-foot leves unplayable. lowering the fps cap through the performance menu did not solve this issue. text is hard to read
Works great with default settings and max resolution
Mission text is difficult to read
ran well on proton 6.3-5 at 1280x720 sounded just like i remember the n 64 version playing
steam controller worked great
Runs out of the box
I had to delete one file and replace it with the correct steam app
The mouse imputs don't work so I had to use the trackpad in order to play the game.
The game was designed to run at 30fps; both physics and game speed are tied to framerate. Anything above 30fps makes some levels almost unplayable.
To mitigate this install MangoHud and set mangohud MANGOHUD_CONFIG="fps_limit=30" %command%
in the launch options.
NOTE that non-FMV cutscenes will be slowed by this, but most cutscenes are FMV making this mostly a non-issue.
Proton 4.11-13 works best; newer versions refuse to launch with MangoHud and older versions are missing some resolution options for whatever reason.
Missing fog
Works out of the box.
In order to get the play button you have to create the a new player, close the game and then you can hit start (this may be a game bug)
Game will not let me hit Play, the Play button is greyed out and only gives me the option to test the video.
Doesn't work out the box like other claimed it to, needs tweaks to run and be playable. The game would also crash when testing different video modes. It hides important windows behind the game so you can't even click or interact with it for saving configurations. If there are options to bypass this directly it needs to be known. -- Tested with custom Proton versions and still doesn't work out the box.
Working perfectly out of the box.
Works well. I have the leatest version of proton (4.2-3). In the launcher I set Display Mode to 1280x720 dpp and 3D Device to Wine D3D Device using WineD3D and OpenGL. Finished the first 4 levels without any problem. Runs just like it did back then on Windows Xp.
Works great!
Fails to launch, even after a fresh reinstall.
Only issue encountered was creation of a player profile in the setup window. Needed to move windows to continue through the save dialog. Played at 1280x1024. Played through first level (Hoth speeder), and part of second (inside the base). No issues noticed for gameplay. Played at full screen.
