Everything works fine, but the memory usage is extremely high with mods installed (20GB or so).
The performance, while still pretty bad, is comparable to what you might get on Windows. The game seems to just be poorly optimized anyways.

The game freezes when running in fullscreen. You can start in windowed mode via the Paradox Launcher though.
I got 40 fps at 1080p high settings... on an empty map. It seems to be in line with what people with similar hardware experienced. I had DLSS off though.
The naitive port works perfectly, with only one minor bug.
The only issue I encountered was when I closed the window using ALT+F4, the game wouldn't show as stopped and I wouldn't be able to relaunch it unless I restarted Steam. Closing the game using the menu works fine though.
Works straight out of the box with Steam and Proton.
Proton works fine initially, but some of the puzzles are broken since they require you to interact with stuff outside of the game.
You have to tinker to get it to launch, and you literally cannot finish it.
The game's first ending does not work on Linux, no matter how hard I tried. For whatever reason, the devs made the final executable (needed to progress) in an outdated version of Python and PyQt5, which does not run at all on my system and runs into some issue relating to localization. Don't bother with the naitive Linux port, and in Proton/Wine you can't do the puzzles. Even in a Windows VM it'll run into issues with OpenGL support and GPU accleration. You'll have no choice but to run this on a bare metal Windows install. I have honestly no idea how the devs managed to make a native Linux port this terrible.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 gamemoderun %command%
Very poor performance and large lag spikes when anything was happning. I was getting around 30 fps on the lowest settings.
Game does not launch at all and instead stays at a black screen for a few seconds before crashing.
I also tried Proton-GE, but that didn't work either.
Steam version is completely borked, but it works fine if you download the version from itch.io
wine-9.1 staging (not Proton) is able to run this game with zero problems.
-screen-fullscreen 0
Fullscreen freezes the application and you need to change the launch args to force windowed mode.
