For Mods
- Arch Linux.
- Playing with Nexus Mods using Vortex on Wine.
- Playing with Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE).
- Can be played with or without MODs smoothly just like Windows 10.
When Proton Experimental was selected, the game stopped working lately. But few months ago, it was played very well with it. Then I had to switched to Proton 7.0-4 and then it was run just like before.
It just worked smoothly just like on Windows 10!
The Rock Star Launcher had some GUI issue when I tried to move another Window top of it. It became black box. But when I move my mouse it shows the contents and I didn't have any issue with Rock Star login. Everything worked smoothly.
This game DOES NOT support Linux!
I personally contacted their Discord Administrators and asked about this and they told me the game does not support Linux right now and they have no plan to do so. So maybe, if you run Windows on a VM and tried this, perhaps it might work, but on Steam with Proton, It DOES NOT work at all. There are some anti-cheat tools, and the game does not start without them. If you manage to fix those requirements, perhaps it might work, but I didn’t try because I didn’t want to ban my account for some reason. So I suggest you use Windows for this game.
I've faced performace due to my PC spec, but the game has developed very well and I could go around by adjesting graphyics settings and it was increased game performance.
- Arch Linux / Proton 7.0-4 (The latest Proton 7 version on the list)
- Didn't try native support
- It was run perfectly!
Native was broken. All Proton versions didn't work.
- Arch Linux
- Native is not working
- Tried almost every single of those Proton versions and options but non of them work
- The game is broken in everyway.
The native Linux support didn't work at all! I didn't want to play this game on Proton as a Windows game, I just wanted to play nativly. But when I hit the button, it showed me a bug report window. That's all I got on Native support. Then I tried Proton, and it just worked. I choosed Proton version 7.0-4 on purpose becasue I use Arch Linux, and Arch tried to keep everything latest so sometimes things might broke! So I wanted to go with a stable release from the begening.
- Arch Linux / Proton 7.0-4
- Play with Medium graphyics just becase of my PC specifications.
- Play with Nexus Mods (not with Vortex) and Saints Row Mods.
- It just work like on Windows 10 - nice and smoothly!
- ArchLinux / Proton 7.0-4.
- I usually use Proton 7.0-4 for the most of old games.
- Played with Nexus Mods using Vortex.
- It was worked out of the box. No issues at all.
- There were some performance issues according to my low PC spec.
