Booting up the game for the first time brings you to a friendly controller config screen. Worked with my 8BitDo SNES30 out of the box.
Dante's eyes render as green corruption with AMDVLK. Radeon Vulkan ICD loader works fine, but there were 2 environment models in my playtime that would flicker in and out of existence every few seconds. Use DX11. Menus do not render with DX12.
Explosions cause my controller to repeat the last input. Disabling vibration mostly mitigated this, but it can still happen at times.
Game can crash randomly in the customization menu. The game autosaves frequently within the menu, so I have not lost progress. Happened twice by chapter 12.
Video codec still unsupported
Tested in Proton 5.11_GE_3_MF-1 and Proton-TKG 5.21.r7
Proton-5.8-GE-2-MF GloriousEggroll
Stutters every 4-6 seconds.
The game doesn't close properly. Steam doesn't detect that it has closed.
The launch options solutions regress to WineD3D instead of DXVK, which may be causing the stutter. They also incorrectly set the prefix, causing it to load from what seems to be the default prefix, regardless of what you actually set it to.
It seems like people with NVIDIA hardware have an easier time getting this running out of the box with Proton GE.

The game is constantly grabbing focus. I needed to switch workspaces to do anything outside of the game. Virtual desktop may help.
As an AMD user, I used the launch options VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/radeon_icd.i686.json:/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/radeon_icd.x86_64.json RADV_PERFTEST=aco %command%
with Proton GE. This let me use DXVK with ACO no problem. LLVM worked as well. The game stuttered frequently on my HDD, but works fine on my SSD.
The Moguri mod works, but I had to install it on Windows and transfer it over, because the installer's check boxes didn't work through Wine.
MANGOHUD_CONFIG="read_cfg,fps_limit_method=early,fps_limit=60" %command% -skipintro
Set the in-game "Frame Rate" option to 60, and "Refresh Rate" to On. The game's framerate is erratic due to weird interpolation behavior above 60, and cutscene audio will desync without specifically in-game vsync enabled. MangoHud's fps limiter then fixes the frame pacing, and fixes the cutscenes' severe lag when enabling vsync without it.
Rare flickering on shadows in KH1. Not observed in other games (yet?)
Cutscenes lag and/or desync from audio, without my listed launch options.
Make sure to use MangoHud's options. Gamescope's limiter (quick settings UI) helped frame pacing, but it was not perfectly flat, and FMV cutscenes would still desync.
Used patches from https://github.com/Linux74656/SpaceEngineersLinuxPatches to get the game working.
~30fps with the lowest possible settings on 5700 XT.
Anything above minimum settings results in a GPU reset hard crashing the OS. Apparently this game works with everything except the 5700 XT and the 5700.
Online functionality doesn't work due to being unable to find Steam.

Crackling seems to be reduced with fps cap at 120 instead of 144.
Outrun softlocks the game if the path to the exe is too long.
Need to use native dinput8 for SilentPatch
Game softlocks after beating the chapter 10 boss, with and without Silentpatch.
Need to use PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1
to save consistently. Otherwise you need to try ~10 times per save. The game gives feedback on successful saves too.
I've heard of issues with the game running at 144hz (potentially audio crackling?). I capped it at 120 in the settings and had no issues.
