The game starts up to menu correctly, but the mouse cursor keeps jumping to the upper left corner of the screen, making the game unplayable.
Alt-tabbing works sporadically and will sometime softlock my system.
Upon launch, it complains that Microsoft’s Media Feature Pack is not installed and refuses to proceed further after dismissing the popup.
A black windows pops up for a few fractions of a second, then the game crashes.
The game requires the flags PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 to launch. Other than that it works fine.
After quitting, it is necessary to kill the game process by hand in the terminal.
The main menu is unreachable
The game launches to a black screen with only a cursor visible, ambient sound can be heard in the background but the game won’t progress past this.
The tutorial works, but the game hangs when you pick up your phone at the end of the tutorial. I’ve found it impossible to proceed further.
On the latest version of Proton the game works fine out of the box. On previous versions it used to (often) crash when running 3DMark.
Screens are blacked out while running 3DMark.
Game was choppy at the beginning, but it settled down after a while.
Black screen right after menu
After selecting how you want to start your journey, the game will be stuck on a black screen.
Reports that “This game requires a more recent version of Windows 10”, then closes.
Rarely, after a crash, all autosaves disappear. Cloud saves are safe.
Crashes in the late game, probably because of memory issues with the number of pops in the world, often while saving/autosaving or during other memory-intensive game ticks.
The game is also playable on 8.0-2, but I’d recommend 7.0-6, because as some others have reported, on the newer version of Proton the game stutters a lot when zoomed in. Both the native version and Proton-GE don’t seem to work at all for me.
