Had to use an older version of Proton (5.13-6) to be able to use online multiplayer. Other than that, everything worked perfectly.
When having a second monitor (with a different resolution) enabled, the game was lagging.
Worked absolutely flawless with great controller support (using PS4 controller) out of the box.
Great
When tabbing out of the fullscreen, there is now way to get the game window back.
Other than that it runs absolutely flawless.
Part of the screen turned black in the final boss fight, annoying but manageable. Had no other issues throughout the game.
Some of the options in the settings menu have a different impact on performance than you'd expect. DX11 performs way better than DX12 and DLSS also makes performance worse. With DX11 and without DLSS the performance is very good.

Performance is significantly worse in comparison to playing on Windows using the same hardware.
Cutscenes don't play
Overall good
Had occasional crashes and often the FPS would drop significantly. I think this might be more of an issue with the game than Proton though, since a friend who was playing on Windows had the same issues.
Runs very well
Tabbing out of the game minimizes it
The input mapping is not correct for a PS4 controller, but fortunately you can remap.
As others have mentioned, the game does not work with Proton-GE when used in Heroic, but works perfectly with Wine-GE.
