Game starts in a floating window on hyprland, but easily fullscreened with hotkey.
Mouse didn't get captured one game start, so I could see the cursor moving around but aim would not move. I still managed a kill though without a mouse... embarassingly for the other person... After the kill then mouse look started working and I played as normal. That's only happened the once
Works great natively
The paradox launcher got in to a state where it crashes a second after popping up, making it difficult to launch . This is shared across multiple paradox games. Fixed by deleting ~/.paradoxlauncher
, has been fine since.
Paradox launcher stopped working during one of the 2025 updates. It seems to now be hard coded to look in the main steam library for launcher-settings.json, but I have installed in a different steam library - symlinking the folder between libraries seems to work.
Probably all fine if you install in default steam location
Plays fine, but room for improvement
Lazy asset loading seems to cause significant stuttering, most noticible when wanding under a door
Infrequent crash when loading, haven't had one in gameplay
Runs great, glad I can play with my Windows-bound friends
Repeatedly crashed when trying to host a new multiplayer game, and when joining a new game it would crash during the cutscene if I pushed my discord PTT (mouse 5) button. Otherwise it's been fine.
Some crashes when setting up a new game
Plays well
The experience for the joining player is a little rough, ie poor movement interpolation and ~1 desync every 2 hours, which seems to be the general experience regardless of linux in the mix.
Wife and I gave this a shot, mostly due to it's high status on protondb and native linux support. Had a good time
No issues in game aside from the video playback
Video cutscenes extremely choppy, basically unplayable - but could skip. Gameplay is perfect.
