I have it on my epic games library and played using Heroic Launcher. Plays excellent on steam deck. Online multiplayer works great without any issue.
There were minor problems when starting the game with DX11, starting with OpenGL there are no such problems.
Desynchronization happens, but the same thing happens on Windows
Otherwise, the game works identically to the native version.
If you don't need to play with a friend, then yes everything else is functioning.

With the exception of multiplayer, the game works perfectly as far as it can technically work well. Many bugs are a problem of the game itself
Plays well
The experience for the joining player is a little rough, ie poor movement interpolation and ~1 desync every 2 hours, which seems to be the general experience regardless of linux in the mix.
Wife and I gave this a shot, mostly due to it's high status on protondb and native linux support. Had a good time
Although it has native support on my system it wouldn't recognize controller input unless you ran the windows version through steam.
Running the game through proton experimental instead of native had no problems.
Enable VSync
You'll need to either bind a key to keyboard return or open osd keyboard and hit enter to start.
This game would not start on experimental or GE. That splash screen requires you to press Enter/return to start. You'll have to bind a key to 'enter' or open osd keyboard and hit return.
Turn on V-Sync
Recipe ingredient tooltip text is quite small.
Must enable controller for P1 player in options.
Weird multiplayer sync bugs once per hour or two (invisible players, phantom items etc). Reconnection fixes the issue. Might as well be a problem with the game itself.
