the normal cursor looks really aliased and has weird red lines in it
online performs as well as windows, which is not great but no additional issues
the "Normal Cursor" option looks strange, not the same as it does on windows. it is much more aliased and has red lines going through it.
swapping to the large or XL options looks much better
MANGOHUD=1 prime-run gamemoderun %command%
runs far worse than on windows both in terms of general lower FPS and also introduces stuttering that is not present on windows.
I expected more considering it's a valve game and has native linux support. it runs poorly out of the box, tweaking does not help much. also it will perform shockingly bad if you attempt to record the gameplay with the steam recording beta for some reason. I used the recording beta on windows with all game I play and didn't notice any signifiant performance penalty. I also continue to use it on other games on linux, just not CS.

it will instantly crash if you try to run it with nv prime render offload
do NOT attempt to run this game with prime-run or any equivalent way of enabling nvidia prime render offload. all it will do is make the game immeditely crash. this game seems to pick up the nvidia GPU and use that by default anyway.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 gamemoderun %command%
runs smooth even on my Intel Arc A310, no need to spin up the nvidia GPU for this one. should run smoothly even on lower spec systems.

stutters and generally low fps. seems to be shader compilation stutter.
runs good, i played on both linux and windows. i didn't notice any additional bugs or issues in my linux play.

I tried Proton-GE, experimental and 9.0 none worked. It crashes on startup with

when switching from windowed to fullscreen the steam overlay would stop working
it runs really poorly, less than 30FPS in a populated server on a high end desktop PC
none of the settings saved
there is significant desync between clients on a server, you could be in one spot on your screen and an enitrely different one on your friend's screen.
i also had an issue when starting the game for the first time where upon starting the tutorial it said connection lost to host when i was attempting to host my own instance and it then kicked me back to the main menu. it then skipped the tutorial next time i joined a server and it hadn't given me the fishing rod so it was unplayable, i had to erase the save data and try again to complete the tutorial.
