Changed UI Scale to 110% I would go even larger but then UI elements overlap

games works perfectly in both solo and multi, with a gamepad, a wheel (atleast my moza R3) or a keyboard.

Runs flawlwssly.
I'd like to cruise around and get the job done and grow my business.

Need to disable global illunination (probably lumen is used as the game is using UE5) via modifying the game's Engine.ini to get the game running at around 60fps on a fairly large (~50 people) server.
Append the following into Engine.ini (in /steamapps/compatdata/1369670/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/MotorTown/Saved/Config/Windows/)
[/Script/Engine.RendererSettings]
r.DynamicGlobalIlluminationMethod=0
The game will reenable GI when graphic settings is changed, but it won't override the changes in Engine.ini. So, if you change graphics settings, you will need to restart the game to disable GI again.
Controller icon is hard to read on native res
Slow if GI is enabled

Had a single Unreal Engine crash, I do not know why, but it has not happened since. (Did not use experimental at the time)

Enabled back grip buttons (where my hands rest) for quick shifting on the right side. Game has inbuilt controller support, but the default controls are not one-size-fits-all, so do customize them to how you need them. (ex: By default, users on the steamdeck cannot enable jake brakes, useful for trucking on the south island)
Runs hot and drains power fast at default settings. See below for further details.
Game needs an optimization update in general, as my main workstation also runs hot with this game. The default graphics settings drains battery fairly quick on a Steamdeck LCD 512gb model*. Dropping down the settings to Medium, and dropping the resolution scale worked wonders, though I would personally keep view distance high if you're playing on a large multiplayer server like I am due to heavy desync**.
*: My steamdeck is not running SteamOS, but rather Bazzite (Fedora Atomic Desktop). The APU was undervolted at the time of testing. The kernel is also far newer than SteamOS Holo's (6.12.12)
**: Desync is not the fault of Proton, Linux, or anything client-side, but is rather a limitation of the dedicated server implementation and server processing power. I do not expect this to be fixed as there is only one programmer and two modelers working on the game.

Internet radio feature doesn't work

gamemoderun %command%
Internet Radio streams didn't play, they appear to be loading but never actually start playing
I think this game isn't very well optimised but playing it on my linux machine is pretty enjoyable. Multiplayer is also great, without much slowdown or netcode issues

Works great out of the box, with KB and mouse and controller as well. Expected a bit better performance on high, but it was playable
Radio was not working, but it might not be Linux specific
Low settings and limited FPS to 45 (in the cities it can't reach that FPS anyways)

Radio never worked for me, not sure if it is Linux specific

cyroutilities
Small text that displays character and vehicle controls.
I have CyroUtilities, but I did not use it mainly to run this game. The game runs perfectly on medium, stable 45fps, sometimes it'll drop to like 38 in a city but climbs back up. The controller prompts are small and hard to read but not impossible. I played online with 70+ people with no issues. The menu controls are a little janky so I recommend assigning a trackpad to the mouse and left click. Overall, great Deck game!

Switching to proton v8 made the game launch on DirectX12 and seemed to have improved my FPS

The game crashes on startup with DirectX12, and only works with DirectX11, which on windows was slower than DirectX12
The game works on DirectX11 but crashes on DirectX12. FPS is fine, although it feels slightly choppy. For some reason in main menu FPS is much lower than on windows. Could be due to DirectX11.

Deleted files in this folder: ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1369670/

It works natively, but freezes from time to time. Performance gets significantly better when switched to Proton Experimental

RUNS well after all, some server crashes.
no AA , or AF applied by GPU
servers freq. crashes.
RUNS WELL, as expected. servers are freq. instable.

Works fine out of the box with great performance as far as I can tell, no tinkering needed, just install and run.
Works as expected
The occasional stutter or pause
Motor Town runs on Linux like a native.
Multiplayer runs without any issue.
Works better than Windows
I've had no issues playing online at all. My connectivity is great.
The performance of this game on my laptop has been exceptional. To my surprise, I have had a better gaming experience using EndeavourOS compared to my Windows partition. The upcoming price increase in mid-January 2023 is well worth it, so if you come across this message later, do not hesitate to take advantage of this hidden gem.
my cpu coasts around 80-90 degrees, even on low settings and lower resolution
Overall the game works fine, i didn't feel or see anything unusual and would recommend
The game used to crash frequently, fixed by adding
-DX12 -notics
to the launch options.
button prompts on right side of screen, text for the buttons is understandables, the icon on what button to press, a bit hard to read.
R4/R5 and L4/L5 are not recognized by the game, cannot be bound.
Game is using drop-in sessions, had a friend join from PC to my game hosted on deck, no issues. I was only able to test with 2 people on the server.
The game works just fine, the only setting I had to adjust was the graphics, on medium you get 35 on towns and 45+ outside. You get a few prompts with keyboard input, but you can just use the dpad and it works just fine.
Game is way slower than on Windows using the same hardware, barely playable despite stable
Very low FPS even on low settings, makes the game slow and barely playable
Everything runs fine, the menu which shows ingame content even runs very well, the only issue is when you actually start to play, it requires better hardware than running the game under Windows if you don't want to play with low FPS.
Works Flawlessly
Just install and play. My Dualshock 4 needed to be passed through Steam's controller settings but it works perfectly out of the box.
Great on Proton. Great game.
Start-up occasionally freezes in the menu when the town in the background is populated with traffic. This may affect Windows users though. Have to restart the game. No problems other than that.
Appears to run perfectly out of the box, with the exception of Force Feedback on G920 wheel working inconsistently.
FFB on Logitech G920 Wheel works perfectly for ~5 minutes, then suddenly cuts off. When you start/stop the car, it starts working again. May be an issue with the game anyway.
