Game runs fine, just kinda buggy
Sometimes my mouse would think im holding down right click, could be fixed just by pressing ESC to open the menu.
When opening any sort of menu, the game would pause for about a second.
Physics were VERY, VERY inconsistent. Sometimes (mainly multiplayer, still pretty often in solo) when I would stop holding an item it would freeze in the air until I grabbed it again.
Game works fine with multiplayer, but laggy as hell sometimes.
Perfect out of the box, if you don't mind missing data.
All of my data was just gone when I first installed it.
First time I launched the game, I had infinite uses of the daily chest? I managed to open it 78 times. Has not occured again, yet.
The de-sync was BAD. On my friends screen, they were at wave 68, while I was still on wave 65. Also, multiple times on my screen the bloons would get to the exit but no lives would be lost and nothing would happen.
Steam cloud saves didn't work but I managed to get my data back with NinjaKiwi's built in system.
The game seems to force V-sync, with my old NVIDIA driver V-sync would cause extreme framerate issues, otherwise it runs just a little bit worse than windows.
Only issue was that it was very laggy, but I believe Windows has the same issue, so this can be ignored.

When any sort of particles are first loaded (I.E. a plasma carbine shot hitting the wall for the first time) a major lag spike will occur, but never again.
Probably like 90% of my playtime is primarily in multiplayer, never had any sort of issues other than once I got disconnected from a lobby.
ROCK AND STONE!!!

When fullscreening resolution would change to 1280x720, could be changed in the options back though just kind of annoying.
Could be better optimized for linux, and startup times were EXTREMELY long.
Occasional large lagspikes, and occasionally dips below 144 for seemingly no reason
Mods tend to be buggy and occasionally crash, but it may be not a proton issue and just a modding issue in general.
Sometimes players will lag behind for a long time, but it seems to only happen with one specific person and nobody else, so it's probably just his wifi
gamemoderun mangohud DXVK_ASYNC=1
Launch options are unnessacary the game works perfectly.
gamemoderun mangohud DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% -nosplash
New update makes the multiplayer work perfectly out of the box.
Sometimes performance was bad, and the game didn't seem to fully utilize my GPU and CPU, causing the game to often get very laggy at around 20% of each. Only really happened past stage 4-5+ though.
Works perfectly out of the box with vsync off
Turning on V-Sync made the game drop to around 20-30 FPS, and since the game is based on your framerate (for some awful reason) the entire game slows down
Perfect out of the box, just a weird title screen without Proton.
Very rarely when booting up the game my FPS would be absolute GARBAGE, its only happened once or twice though and just required a reboot of my PC, may be unrelated to the game.
Proton is being used > native because when playing native linux version the title screen would just be a black screen. It was still there and usable, but proton would make it visible and the load times would be slightly faster.
Ran even better than it did on windows.
Valve intro was absurdly loud, certain sound effects were way louder than others
Fullscreen was really buggy so i've just been using windowed, even if it kinda annoys me.
The mouse sensitivity option literally didn't do anything.
Literally perfect

Whenever Alt-Tabbing, the game's quality would reduce significantly and the frame rate would be halved. Couldn't be fixed without a restart.
Very occasional
Bad framerate without GE and gamemoderun
I only managed to join 2 lobbies total, both were frontier defense. Couldn't get actual multiplayer to join.

Occasionally, when alt tabbing too much, the audio would stop playing. A quick restart would fix this.
Tinker steps are not required, but do boost performance some-what
