A little on the small side, but not bad.
The opening graphic mentioning that this game is in Early Access was a little pixelated, but this wasn't found in the rest of the game.
Didn't try the multiplayer, but did use the Daily and Weekly runs. They load a little slower than expected but otherwise were just fine.
Set the FPS limiter on the Steam Deck to 30 FPS.
Touch screen clicking is hard to perform with the default UI size.
I had to go into the options and make the UI bigger (I used 1.15 size).
The game defaults to Joystick only controls. I recommend using Steam's Joystick with trackpad as a mouse control scheme. make sure to set the right touchpad click as the left mouse click to use it efficiently. Also keep in mind that you may need to use the Overlay Keyboard for typing.
Hardest part is logging into the game, since the control scheme doesn't default to support the system. Make sure to change the Steam Controller setup to either Joystick with Mouse touchpad or Keyboard + Mouse to play.
Works well, with a few small things to configure around.
Set the Right Trackpad click to Left Mouse Click
I set the FPS Limiter to 30 fps.
When the game loads up on default a newsletter is first shown. It is supposed to be controller friendly but the Y button doesn't dismiss the screen. Using the trackpad or touchscreen to click the continue button will bypass this. No problems afterwards.
Text is a little small. Not terrible, but could be a little hard to read for those with weaker eyes.
If you are using Cloud Save to transfer your existing save, the game will still default to a new save slot. Your save is still there. You just have to navigate to the in game save menu and tell it to load your original save slot instead of the Auto-save default.
FPS Limiter set to 30 FPS
Any videos displayed on a 2D image, like movies on TVs in the game or the initial Company Logo video when loading into the game have graphical corruption that only shows scanlines.
Plays great with a Steam Deck.
Full integration with the steam deck with no necessary changes.
It defaults to showing the controls in the UI as a PS4 controller instead of the Steam Deck's buttons.
Runs great!
Only some ingame text, like popups during battle, were on the smaller side.
Works great out of the box!
FPS Limiter set to 30
A little on the small side, but not bad.
Any issues that came up seemed to be found in the Native Windows version, like smoke graphical errors or player async issues.
The default graphics look great. You can lower them if you want better battery life and keep the 60 FPS. In my case, I get 3.5 hours just by leaving everything the default and using the Steam Deck FPS limiter to 30. No FPS drops or stutters, and since the game was designed around the OG Xbox One it plays well at 30. Higher is nicer, but you aren't at any disadvantages like with some PvP games. Online Connectivity seems more stable than the Windows 10 store version, with only maybe one crash in over 40 hours compared to the 2-3 crashes in a single session that can happen with the Win10 store version when you have multiple players in the same household trying to be on the same boat. Overall, you will not be disappointed playing this!
Running at 30 FPS limiter
If you try to load it up with the default version of Proton for Steam at this time, it will hang while loading the beginning Company Logos.
Text is a little on the small side. Not bad, but slightly annoying.
Plays as well as it does on PC. I played a few levels, and it handles just like the normal controller support did.
Works great.
When shaking the trees, the trees moved using the kick animation were slightly off.
Didn't have the opportunity to try the online Multiplayer yet.
Keep in mind that the initial Vulkan driver setup can take a while, but once you are in game it runs as expected.
Set right track pad's click to Left Mouse Click
FPS Limiter set to 30 FPS
You'll want to set the in game UI to a higher number.
The steam controller default assumes you are using a Hybrid keyboard and Mouse setup which can feel off compared to the game's default controller support. Using the touch screen as a mouse can feel mushy with the default UI size. I switched the Trackpad to mouse to compensate this, as well as used the in game settings to make the UI slightly bigger.
Current version of Warframe has some random stutters, but this is irrelevant to where you play it on. I can reproduce it on multiple machines across Windows and Linux.
