I have not encountered any problems with the game whatsoever
It just works. I especially like being able to rezise the window to whatever size i want for the screen i want.

Occaisionally, the application will revert to Keyboard+Mouse mode. Haven't found out why it does this, but a quick restart of the app will generally fix it.

When I closed the game yesterday there was an update for proton. When I started the game up this morning it took a long while before steam just showed the "play" button. there was nothing else shown in the mean time.
Proton 5.13-2. Older versions don't seem to work.

Runs again with latest Proton
It works again with latest Proton. You may need to fully quit Steam and run "unset LD_PRELOAD && steam steam://rungameid/329110" from terminal. Since Proton 4.11-13, some small glitches were noted in audio at some occasions. You cannot select Proton 4.11-13 anymore, because GoW update 5.2 broke compatibility with older versions of Unity. Select Proton 5.13-2 or greater. After running it from Steam interface again, it runs without graphic issues.
You may experience problems with steering wheel buttons. To restore, switch to other program/desktop with ALT-TAB (or your default key combination) then go back to GoW. The mouse will work again. DO NOT TOUCH THE WEEL.

The colored circle keeps spinning forever and nothing loads. Changing Proton versions does not solve the problem.

The game was working fine up until v5.2. Attempting to specify older Steam Play versions did not help.

It used to work perfectly, but the 5.2 update earlier this week broke it. It either hangs on the load screen with the wheel spinning forever, or is just plain doesn't start. Tried multiple Proton versions to no avail.

Tried various versions of Proton, as well as tricks listed here, but it just hangs on the initial screen and loads forever. It ran perfectly prior to update 5.2 so I assume something in the game has changed.
Please fix your Vulkan installation or use --force-opengl and choose Proton 4.11-13 to fix audio issues. It uses Vulkan if available.

Pressing any button on a G920 steering wheel locks the mouse, making the game unusable until restarting.

UnknownGame will not go past loading screen with Proton. Downloads update, then the wheel forever spins, like when the firewall is turned on in Windows. Have verified that my firewall is not blocking it, and even disabled it temporarily. Have tried all listed tweaks as well. All I can assume, seeing the success others have had, is that their recent UI updates may have broken compatibility.

At first game started in full screen mode -- but had black screen; sound functioned, cursor was present, and could even click on things blindly, so was a display issue. I forced the game to start in windowed mode and restarted. Works out of the box with no problems now.
