Trouble tabbing out in some screens. I like to run the game on a seperate workspace and simply swap workspaces instead.
Proton-6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll

Occasional slight but noticible crackling
Mouse lag. Disabling mouse acceleration helps a lot but it's still slightly noticeable. In EnderalPrefs.ini in the [Controls] section add or update bMouseAcceleration=0
The SKSE build on github that everyone linked here is a little bit old. I used Current SE build 2.0.20

No issues with default steam play settings. Could log in fine but didn't test multiplayer yet
Crashed twice after long sessions in 20 hours of play
No issues with tabbing out or having other windows opened as others have reported
Launching the game in with the "Fullscreen (native)" option caused the game to register the cursor location as about 30 pixel up and left of where it appears making the game difficult to play. Launching the game with the "Play Rift Wizard" option doesn't have this issue.
Only played for a couple hours but runs without issue so far
Can only play the CE (reduced features and size and graphical quality, built for switch) version of the game. Game crashes if you try to launch the fully-featured version of the game through proton and I am unaware of anyone getting that to run on linux. The difference between the main and CE versions is large enough that I don't enjoy CE after having experienced the fully featured version on windows.
https://github.com/rockerbacon/modorganizer2-linux-installer Following this setup. Launches Mod Organiser 2 through Proton. Game can be modded and modding tools can be run through MO2. Game is launched by launching SKSE through MO2.
Can't alt-tab during loading screens. I would put it in a seperate workspace and swap workspaces instead.
The game itself runs like it does on windows (which can be a bit buggy).
The only major issues were with MO2 and modding tools. Mostly it works, but there can be visual glitches or minor errors in the tools. MO2 acts slower than I remeber it working on windows. If you've installed a lot of mods during a session, making any changes can take a lot of time, so restart the program if you notice it takes a lot of time to do things. Ran some tools like FNIS without issue. Requiem's Retificator has a visual bug where the window is just black, but you could see flashes of it if you resized the window or highlighted text (the bug is only visual, the program ran fine and generated the appropriate patch). I was able to run Wrye Bash and it would appear to generate a bashed patch, however it would write an empty esp when the patch started generating and fail to update it (unable to get a useful bashed patch).
