Works surprisingly well if you're willing to go through the launcher jankiness. 45fps lock on hgh with some minor dips in snowy areas.
Bind a grip button to "H" so the character menu can be accessed.
The launcher will start but Steam will not recognize the game is open. You can easily navigate to the launcher through the left menu and just tap on the start button. As far as I know you cannot skip the launcher.
Readable, but a little small.
Make sure you enable gamepad support in the launcher before starting the game. Also, be aware that you have to use touchscreen or mouse control to navigate the launcher.
Crashes in Fullscreen
Fullscreen crashes. Using Steam Tinker Launch will break NPC Audio. Using Pipewire instead of PulseAudio (My Driver is nvidia v: 545.29.06 Steam hardware info is borked, I am not using Mesa llvmpipe)

I tried with different Protom versions and launch options, but it stays in "Running Install script (Microsoft DirectX)".
Launcher working, but when i want launch the game i have "Application Load Error P:0000065432"
Runs without issues at 50fps. Medium settings.
50 fps, CPU tdp 10w
In-game text is hard to read sometimes.
Amazing RPG. The text can be hard to read sometimes, but it is worth. I got a little more than 2h of battery with these settings.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Low fps (15-25) on open world. I tried several approaches and couldn't handle it. Nevertheless there is 60-100 fps inside locations (caves, ruins, houses etc).
I've been playing more than 100 hours and there were only 2-3 crashes.

Runs fine on latest proton forced compatibility. I'm quite far in game and it has no issues. Graphics set to high
40hz
Runs fine
You have to go into the launcher (which pops-up on every launch so no issue), and set input to controller.
Runs pretty consistently at 60fps on SteamDeck on low settings. I will update this with any additional information. However, it runs solid out the box at 80%-91% GPU usage.
In order to get your character menu you had to bind the key "H" so I just bound that to pressing in the right trackpad, I did this since figured it would be easier to press and I don't think the trackpads were being used at all in the controller scheme I used.
Changed refresh rate to 40, and I locked the framerate to 40 as well. I've been doing this with a lot of my games to improve battery performance and it almost doubles it. I even lower the CPU's TDP to 7 watts.
When you first launch you will want to make sure you go into the settings stab on the enderal launcher and go to the control tab, you will then want to make sure you check the "Activate Gamepad" option and then you want to make sure you click the button to save your settings. You could mess with other settings, but I basically kept everything default besides enabling the controller support.
I've only played 2-4 hours and mainly just played the introduction area, and so far it has been stable. I haven't had any crashes yet... but not sure how it will go the further I get in the world gets more open? and unlike Skyrim I haven't suffered any of the slowdowns, stuttering or freezes that I've seen some people faced.

NPC audio missing. As seen from my launch options, I tried the fix others used but it did not work for me.
Very slow unless I turned down options to very low quality. Suspect the excessive grass in the initial scene but didn't investigate much further due to NPC audio issue mentioned below.
Had to use the PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 launch option due to issues with Vulkan and wine on my system. I don't believe it is specific to this game though so probably not needed for other people (haven't gotten around to looking for a fix for this as it only affects wine/proton).

Achievements currently don't work. The game threw an error at me upon launching for the first time. It has worked fine with subsequent launches.

With the provided launch options. NPC audio works perfectly.

Occasional slight but noticible crackling
Mouse lag. Disabling mouse acceleration helps a lot but it's still slightly noticeable. In EnderalPrefs.ini in the [Controls] section add or update bMouseAcceleration=0
The SKSE build on github that everyone linked here is a little bit old. I used Current SE build 2.0.20
at http://skse.silverlock.org/
After applying the previously mentioned fixes (both are relatively easy to apply), the game runs flawlessly.

Extract the custom version of SKSE to the Enderal install directory, otherwise the ini prefs won't be respected when launching the game.
NPC audio is missing. Fix with the following launch command: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 %command%
Fullscreen does not work by default. Must apply previously mentioned fix for SKSE first.
Needed the custom SKSE files mentioned in other reports. Issue with full-screen/German still there otherwise.
Needed a custom file
I added the audio tweak(mentioned previously) to the launch options. Didn't test without that.
Cutscenes/videos are very loud, seemingly unaffected by audio settings.
Leaving full-screen could break the window.
Requires custom SKSE to be extracted into the installation directory (see other reports for link to the GitHub comment). Without it the settings will be completely ignored, hence the game by default starting in windowed German.
I used the custom SKSE linked from GE, otherwise the game would start in German language and wouldn't let you start a new game.

Using a custom skse version linked over here: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/170#issuecomment-769576517
Initially it would not go full screen, but applied the fix for SKSE at https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/170#issuecomment-769576517
I also applied WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 %command%

Alt-tabbing discouraged before the game launches or in the main menu, works fine after getting ingame
Game fails to expand to the selected resolution. The menu comes up to start a new game but then it never loads after.
Other reports mentioned disabling ENBoost and OSAllocators but these are not in the launcher.
Game starts, but Language is not English (think it's German).
In the Launcher, I checked the Enderal.ini file, and see the following at the top, which I think means that it should be in English:
[General] sLanguage=ENGLISH
Also, even though I had selected full screen in the launcher, and saved settings, it's running Windowed. It's almost like it's ignoring the ini file.
Game launches just fine but cannot start new game
The starts up just fine but I am unable to start a new game. As whenever I do, it just sits in a loading screen and doesn't go anywhere.
A custom SKSE64 build is required: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/170#issuecomment-769576517
The Game will not start a new game by default.
This is due to an issue in SKSE which is supposed to be fixed in the next update of SKSE. Until then https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/170#issuecomment-769576517 has a fixed SKSE version that works
