I followed this guide https://www.protondb.com/users/793747973
One time the camera was moving permanently to the top left, only restarting the game helped.
I believe it happened when i was alt-tabbing. But only happened once
The game shows "Context3D not available! Possible reasons: wrong renderMode or missing device support."
Alt Tabbing once caused the game to crash
Does not launch without switching forcing Proton 7.0-3
The Cutscene Videos don't work. You can see subtitles but the visual part doesn't work
My workaround was to watch gameplay vids of others to see them
Proton-6.14-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
To get the game starting you need to execute the following inside the game installation directory $ rm Engine/Extras/Redist/en-us/UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe $ ln -s /usr/bin/true Engine/Extras/Redist/en-us/UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe
And then click yes in the dialog that opens when you start the game
With GloriousEggroll the Cutscene videos work
On Nephtys Plains the fps on middle or higher were under ten Everywhere else i can play on high or epic
I did
WINEPREFIX="$(realpath ./359320/pfx/)" winetricks -q dotnet472 win7
while being in the compatdata directory
My Steam is running through flatpak on GNOME, while another game Steam game was open i was unable to alt-tab back into E:D
In Beta: I couldn't see any other player in Open Play, also the System-wide chat was empty the whole time.
a single crash in 50hours of playing
Used winetricks to install dotnet472 and xact (invoke winetricks also with the -q and --force options) I played the introduction scenario/campaign.
The first 3 chapters ran smoothly, while playing the last the sound started to stutter and the fps went down.
Also the game didn't release the mouse-cursor, even when alt-tabbing or using GNOME 3's overview mode. When i opened the steam overlay i could click stuff in other windows but couldn't press any keys.
